Yikes, I hate evil paragraphs! But during the Mini-mouse adventures, I usually do them first, since although they're evil, they're straightforward, at least in figuring out what they say!

Joe, still interested in the details of logic on the Minnie/Pluto ticket media part.

That evil paragraph in DCA's Redwood Challenge Trail screwed us up last time. My mom even started writing down the signs so we could start checking it later, and we still had to go back (we were messed up on one she hadn't written down!)

No.... in the original announcement, we said "We will publish a new MouseAdventure quest in the Walt Disney World Resort Update each Monday through October 5."

I'm pretty sure next week's quest in another in-park quest - I think this one is in Animal Kingdom.

I don't know, I've done 'weekends' that are 7 days long! I assumed that Minnie only does the one trip - the only way you can figure out she's going in April.

I don't think it's assuming that Mickey gets the AP, because it SAYS he's getting the most expensive, and if they're each having a week long trip planned, then he would only get a 7 day - and 7 day no expiration is cheaper than an annual pass.

But I agree, I seen NOTHING that says Minnie vs Pluto gets the Base + no expiration vs just base, unless you use the 'weekend' trip with Daisy - but then, as stated, that means you don't know if Minnie or Goofy visit in April (vs June)

OK, again, this was not a traditional logic puzzle. All you needed to do was use ONLY the information given (and not make any assumptions) and the answers could only fit one way.

 

• Minnie traveled without Mickey. (there was never any information given that they would travel together)
• Mickey gets the AP as it was the most expensive ticket listed (yes, it is technically a pass).
• Pluto used the Base Ticket as is was stated that he only visits one park each day (he wouldn't NEED a ticket with no expiration, I guess he COULD have gotten one, but that data is not given in the text) and that would only leave the base + no expiration for Minnie - there is no information given in the text for Minnie's ticket, it is the only ticket type left.
• Minnie is there with Daisy for the Flower and Garden Festival which is in April (march - may) which would leave Goofy to take the only remaining spot which is June. Daisy only visits for the weekend for the "Girls Weekend" with Minnie (at the top we state that each was only there for a week long trip.

I can see how it could be confusing - the intension was not to be tricky but rather to only give minimal information for solving the grid (perhaps we gave too little) but does that help? We KNEW that each statement could lead to multiple answers, but there was only one combination of answers that would work.

I thought it was a pretty standard 'hard' logic puzzle, with the exception of the part I left in, and you conceded that it could have gone either way. THAT one would have caused issues in the scoring of the real game, I bet!

I found all the pictures I needed until I got the PO Box number. I searched for a long time to find the right company that fit the address. I can't believe I looked at that picture a few times but couldn't see the address in fine print.

The quest was based entirely on information found on MousePlanet.com, so any errors in that data were incorporated in the quest. For example, you correctly pointed out that there are actually 18 teacups when our guide page says there are 16, but the number 16 is what was used in the creation of the quest. Likewise with the Richard Petty info - the quest was based on what is on our Web site (link), not what is on the Disney site.

I understand that, I guess I'm a stickler for correct information. And the RP costs I used were from the actual RP website, not Disney.

I think my other problem was that I did the equation as a math equation would be done, not left to right as I should have

Well, NEITHER of those are correct IRL. It doesn't say ride vehicles, it says teacups. There are a bunch of teacups on signs and topiaries and other decor at the attraction itself.

(Useless knowledge left over from the first mini-MA in the MK -when everyone else got a different answer than my sister and I, because I'd read too many MA threads here before doing the mini-version!)

Did the answer come out exact?

Do you know how much I really dislike 'non-real' math questions (left-to-right order vs math order)? I bet you're not to shocked to hear that, AVP!
