I am doing a "current events" project on the preperation for Disneylands 50th anniversary. I was wondering if anybody had ideas, information, or news about this topic.
Thanks a bunch,
John

A blog featuring my Disney travels and experiences as a cast member.
They were planning really soon to have Space Mountain redone hopefully. But knowing those cheap modern imagineers and management they probably wont. But I have my fingers crossed. Possibly they will have a new ride in the sub lagoon by then but im not holding my breath. Oh might I ask how old you are? Im 16 and that takes courage to talk about Disneyland at the front of the class or even writing it to a teacher. I would think they would have a new fireworks display, a new parade, and a nice clean up but thats all I think they will do.
So far, what I know:
- Space Mountain will close Sept. 2, 2003 to be remodeled for the 50th
(reopening to be determined)- The castle will be specially decorated
(rumors it will be gold)- A 50th anniversary fireworks show is being developed
- There will be a daytime parade new to Disneyland
( I say " new to Disneyland " rather than " new parade " because we may get The Magic Kingdom's 100th B-Day parade instead of a brand new one)- CircleVision will return w/ a new film
(not sure what the film will be)
Not sure what else will happen.
It's not the Imagineers . . . .get your facts right - the fact is the Imagineers work with what little money they have. They can't help but to be cheap. The management at the top of Disney are the ones keeping money away from them. It's not the Imagineers fault - so don't jump on them. They do what they can.But knowing those cheap modern imagineers and management they probably wont
