Hello Big Kahuna Club!

June is a GREAT month at the Boardwalk with Fireworks, Free Friday Night concerts, and weeknight discounts all getting underway.

We're pleased to announce that The Smithereens will replace The Knack on July 3. The Smithereens's big hits include "A Girl Like You," "Blood and Roses," and "Behind the Wall of Sleep." They are also known for their great covers of The Beatles and The Who. A great way to start your Fourth of July holiday weekend!

The Boardwalk's FREE Friday night concerts were recently highlighted in USA Today as the best free thing to do in the entire state, noting that, "Nothing says endless summer more than a concert on the beach."

A brand new attraction just opened near the Giant Dipper and judging by visitor reactions, it's going to be popular.

The Mission Impossible theme song sets the mood as you enter The Vault Laser Maze. Your friends can watch on a large screen as you make your way through a maze of laser beams to reach the finish and stop the clock. Challenge your friends!

Neptune's Kingdom, Casino Arcade and Boardwalk Bowl are open every day. The Boardwalk Bowl is open every day at 9am.

Weeknight Discounts (June 22 - September 4)
Popular weeknight discounts (a favorite local tradition!) start June 22.
1907 Nights
Starting June 22, every Monday and Tuesday night after 5pm we roll back the prices and all rides are just 75 cents or 1 ticket each! Sodas, cotton candy, and hotdogs are also just 75 cents each.

Pepsi Nights
Starting June 24, every Wednesday and Thursday night after 5pm bring in an empty Pepsi beverage container and get an Unlimited Ride wristband for just $9.95.

Fireworks Spectacular
Saturday, June 13
An amazing fireworks show in celebration of the
Giant Dipper's 85th Anniversary will light up the skies over Santa Cruz.

Show starts around 9pm on the beach in front of the Boardwalk.
Free Friday Night Bands on the Beach
June 19 Sept 4 6:30 & 8:30pm
They're free, they're fun, and they are right on the best beach in town. Bring a blanket or low-backed beach chair and claim your place in the sand to watch these terrific shows.

Santa Cruz Beach Soccer Championships
June 20 & 21
The second sand soccer tournament of the summer kicks off at 8am on June 20. This popular sport from Brazil brings out hot soccer talent for fast-paced games with a high level of difficulty.

Did you know?
The Giant Dipper, built in 1924, is a National Historic Landmark and one of the oldest roller coasters in the world.

After the first big hill, the Giant Dipper runs entirely on gravity. The strangest thing ever lost (and found) on the Giant Dipper was a glass eye!

Celebrate the Giant Dipper's 85th Birthday with a fireworks show on June 13.
