    Napa Rose Lounge

Has anyone ever gone here just for a small meal or maybe desert? Is it kid friendly or more just for adults? What about the Hearthstone Lounge. I thought it might be nice to have a small dinner at one of these, but we have two kids (12,10) so if it is more of a "bar" atmosphere we might not fit it? Any help would be great, thanks.

Summer trip with my daughter! !!!!

I seriously heart the Napa Rose Lounge. And the Hearthstone Lounge, but the Napa Rose Lounge is better. It's a lounge, not a bar: low chairs and small tables. As far as I know the full dinner menu is available.

You might just find some MousePlanet staff there tomorrow and/or Saturday night.

Napa Rose Lounge is NOT a "bar" atmosphere. And I actually have seen families dining there before. It might be a very relaxing place for you to eat!

I will warn you: If the restaurant/dining room is busy, they may not serve the dinner menu in the Lounge. (NO DINNER!)

That said, the lounge is terrific and we have had some amazing servers there.

I prefer the Napa Rose lounge to the Hearthstone Lounge. More loungey and the Hearthstone occasionally gets backed up to the point it can be difficult to get a table or server. That hasn't happened to me at Napa Rose, at least not yet.

Neither of them is kid averse, but obviously neither is McDonald's.

At the Hearthstone, it may be a bit easier for your kids to run out into the lobby to work off steam if they get bored.

You can make a PS for Napa Rose, but I don't believe you can make a reservation for the lounge.
I guess I have a glitch in my matrix.

Yeah, but the Lounge is open much later than Cat Cora's signing was...

Wow, I didn't know you could make PSs for the NR lounge only - the couple of times we've gone in there, we haven't had them. (Adds NR lounge to the list of PSs to make when we bring Mom to DL in Sept!)

fairestoneofall, I'd read on MP that Andrew and Jenn were part of 'team hair' and I wasn't quite sure what to make of that - until I met them in person. They both have GORGEOUS long hair.

OK, I don't think I was clear. I thought we were just talking about Napa Rose, but then I remembered that the Hearthstone was brought up.

You can make reservations for Napa Rose the restaurant. I don't recall reservations being available for Napa Rose the lounge. The Hearthstone Lounge is definitely first come first serve.

Great - that's what I intially thought - thanks for clarifying. (But we're still taking Mom to at least one of the lounges on our trip!)
