I was able to change our Wed 9/23 Grand Floridian Cafe ressie from 6:20pm to 7:35pm.
We will most likely be in the Magic Kingdom that day which closes at 8pm and will probably go to Epcot after dinner since they have EMH until 12 am.

I was able to snag a dinner ressie at Sci Fi on our 1st day afterall. I had to do a 9:15, but we won't be eating lunch until 2:00 or so. 9:15 will feel like 8:15 for us, not that much different from our usual 7:30 dinnertime (yep, we eat late!). I used the online ressie system! Yay, me!

Forget about LeCellier. I'm happy with my R&C ressie (my 2nd option for that day) as they have a new chicken breast with a cheddar & dill scone entree for lunch. Yum!

Working hard for that next WDW trip! December 2013

Wow Tina you were able to actually find an opening? I tried searching for different times on the on-line system and there was nothing. Good for you!

I just kept doing 15 minute increments and had to go all the way to 9:15. Same thing with LeCellier, but didn't get a slot.

I'll bet that when you hit day 44, you might have another decent shot. People who end up cancelling will do so by day 45--I assume their ADRs go back into the pool, don't they?

If they cancel there trip, I'm pretty sure that their ADRs will not be available to others unless they actually cancel them separately. I thought that's how it worked anyway...Still I'm sure day 45/44 would be a great time to try.

I would bet that there's a tie-in in the computer system between your room reservation and your dining reservations. In other words, if you cancel your room, I'm betting your dining rez's will also cancel.

That would be convenient for someone who is canceling their disney trip all together, but what about someone who is canceling their resort stay for a better deal at a time share or something else? That would not be fun losing all those ADRs. I could be wrong, but I read once that you do it separately--or at least specify while canceling.

Ok after an hour and a half on the phone(one hour and 15 on hold) I got the following ADRS
    9/27 Crystal Palace 3:40
    9/28 Biergarten 7:30
9/29 have to call yak and yeti because I have a large party and don't open for another hour
    9/30 Tutto Italia 1:15
    10/01 Boma 4:40
    10?02 (my birthday) 1900 Park Faire 4:30
    10/3 Chef Mickey 12:50

Not too bad, wishing for a later opening for Crystal palace, and a little earlier for Boma but will keep trying. But I am pretty happy with what we got.

That could be - at least it makes sense that it would work that way. If I called and canceled my lodging rez, it would make sense if they'd then ask me if I wanted to cancel my dining rez's as well.

This is a little off topic, but I've never made ADR's before....
Is there a way to make them online? I read somewhere you could either call or make them online....

Are you talking about DL or WDW?
If it's WDW you can call 704-WDW-DINE or go to the Dining Reservations Page for online ressies.
You can make your ressies 90 days from the date and if you are staying on property you can make them for 90 days from the first day and for the next 10 days.

In the bottom right corner of the post you are reading there is a button that says Quote and a feather pen in it. If you want to quote just one person click that and it will take you to the page to make your post. If you want to quote multiple people click the one with the "+ in it and you can put your replies in between the quotes if you want (making sure not to mess with the [/ ] and the [ ] ).

Okay, when exactly do you press the + sign? I've wondered how to do multiple quotes, but I could never figure it out. After reading your post, I tried again. Still didn't work for me. thanks.

Press it at any time during your reading. I forgot to add that once you have clicked that as many times as you want and are ready to post hit the 'post reply' button at the bottom of the page. I will try to edit my other post if it's not too late....

It took a while, but I got it. I couldn't figure out what to do after hitting the plus sign. I kept hitting +, then quote. Anyway, thanks!

Just made my ADR's on Saturday for our upcoming trip! I was up and on the computer at 6:45 and I ended up getting everything I wanted. I found it was a lot easier to concentrate on what I wanted doing it on the computer rather than on the phone! We have two families going so I had to make double reservations on a couple days as some of us will be going in different directions! Here is my line-up!

    9/25 Teppan Edo @ 7:50 p.m.
    9/26 Boma @ 7:25 p.m. (my family)
    50's Prime Time @ 4:05 p.m. (friend's family)
    9/27 Kona @ 5:40 p.m.
    9/28 Coral Reef @4:15 p.m.<~~ the only time I wasn't happy with
    9/29 Planet Hollywood @7:15 p.m. (us)
    Whispering Canyon @ 6:10 p.m. (them)
    9/30 Chef Mickey's @ 10:35 am
    Raglan Road @ 8 p.m.
    10/1 Le Cellier @ 8:10 p.m.
    10/2 TRex @ 11 a.m.

    I can't wait!!!

"Mouse" excellent! You did really, really well. Perhaps because I'm also eating at several of your favorites! Good job on the LeCellier snag! I'm still checking daily for a cancellation, but so far, no go.

Y Thank You!! I was pretty happy with my "prizes" as well! The only thing that I wasn't happy with was the Coral Reef Ressie at 4:15 on 9/28 because we do like to take a mid day break and go back to the park. After I made the reservations, I got to thinking that since we were going to be at Epcot on 9/28 and again on 10/1, that those nights were really interchangeable so I went back into the system in an attempt to flip-flop Coral Reef and Le Cellier (what was I thinking?). It started out good, I got Coral Reef for 8PM on 10/2 but by then (30 minutes later), Le Cellier was a NO GO on 9/28 completely. Thank goodness I didn't cancel anything. I figure I will keep trying a little closer to the dates but if it doesn't work out, I still feel very fortunate to have reserved what I was able to reserve.

We are trying several new restaurants this year and I am super excited about them. New to us this year will be.. Teppan Edo, Boma, Kona Cafe, Chef Mickey's & Raglan Road. Anyone have good reports on those or suggestions on what to try when we go? My husband and daughter are NOT the "try new things" type so last year I stuck with more "american" type foods like Whispering Canyon, 50's Prime Time, Garden Grill and Tony's. We also did Le Cellier, Planet Hollywood and Coral Wave last year and they were definite "we have to go there again" requests! It was hard to talk my fam into trying Boma, Kona Cafe & Raglan Road this year so I hope it won't backfire on me!

One more thing.... we have no "little" kids with us, it will be 4 adults and two 14 year olds. I scheduled a character breakfast at Chef Mickey's at 10:30 a.m. because I figured we would miss the rush of families with little kids by going late.... or did I get that all wrong?
