Have you ever eaten at 'Ohana? I loved it there last July when I was there, but they recently have changed their menu. Let us know how you like it.

OK, so I've posted this about 10 times, but in case you're not reading EVERY thread (why wouldn't you???), I couldn't get Sci Fi or Prime Time for the 1st day. So, now we're going to Epcot on our first day (oldest son will NOT be happy, but I changed our "open day" to a DHS day to make up for it). Yes, some of these are rather late, but we often eat late at home. Also, we're in the Central Time Zone, so if I keep us on that schedule, it'll be dinner time! LOL!

So, here's what I have (new restaurants [to us] are noted with an *):

    8/20 Biergarten*, 8 PM
    8/21 Raglan Road, 8 PM
8/22 Gardenview Lounge (Tea, Me only), 2 PM (Out of pocket--not on DDP)
8/22 Wolfgang Puck Cafe* (Me only), 8 PM
8/23 Rose & Crown (Me only), 12 PM
8/24 Teppan Edo, 4:30 PM ANNIVERSARY DINNER
    8/25 None
8/26 Restaurant Marrakesh* (Hubby only), 1 PM
8/26 Cape May, 5:45 PM (Meeting friends for dinner here)
    8/27 LeChefs, 7:30 PM
    8/28 Kona Cafe, 7 PM
    8/29 Jiko*, 5:30 PM
    8/30 Trails End*, 8:30 AM

I'll tweak our lunch time and eat a bit later on the nights we eat late. We usually skip or eat a VERY light breakfast and eat lunch at 11. Now, we'll eat a bit later--maybe around 1, right before we leave the parks for "rest time."

So, what do you think? Roll us home, huh?

    First Timer going ADR Insane

I am a First Timer and I am having tons of fun planning. I think I have over scheduled us for dining. It will be myself another mom and our 12 YR old daughters that are picky eaters. Below I have our schedule. I am wondering can if we can just have dessert on a few of my selections like 50s Prime Time, Rose and Crown and Coral Reef. I really booked the Rose and Crown for the Illumination show and so my daughter can have Fish and Chips. Trying to figure out if I have way too much scheduled. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

FYI- I made my ressies on 5-18, and I have called back every single day since and rearranged times and added on new dining like California Grill booked this past Saturday morning. I am hoping I can switch Hollywood and Vine with Mama Melrose.

    See my ressies below

    Sat 8-15 La Nouba

    Sun 8-16 California Grill- (2 credits) 7:35pm

Mon 8-17 Rainforest Cafe (Gift Card from Rainforest) 1:30

Tues 8-18 Crystal Palace (Pay on our Own Disney Gift Card) $20.99x2 9:10 am
Fantasmic Package Hollywood and Vine (1 table service credit) 4pm

Wed 8-19 50's Prime Time Cafe (Pay on our Own Disney Gift Card) 1:30pm
Spirit of Aloha (2 table service credit) 8pm

Thu 8-20 LeCelliers (1 Table service credit) 2:30pm
Rose and Crown (Illuminations) not sure we will be that hungry (Pay on own) Appetizer & Dessert 6:55pm

Fri 8-21 Wonderland Tea 2pm (Girls Only)
    Garden Tea 2pm (Moms Only)
1900 Park Faire (1 Table Service Credit) 7PM

Sat 8-22 Coral Reef (Dessert Only) 1:05 pm
Bidibbidi Boutique (Girls 7pm) Cool Dude Package
    Planet Hollywood (Gift Card) 9:15pm

8-23 Chef Mickey's Breakfast ( Pay on our Own) Disney Gift Card $22.99x 2 at 7am

Is the Wonderland tea party something you can LEAVE your daughter's at? 12 seems a little young to me to go to a restaurant on their own (but I'm not a parent).

Personally, I'd cancel Rose & Crown, get Fish and Chips from the Counter Service 'restaurant' (it only serves F&C, so not sure it's fair to call it a restaurant!) on the France side of the building that houses the restaurant and pub. Then catch Illuminations from someplace else.

I don't know if other than that you have TOO much scheduled, but I wouldn't do any more then you have. It's HOT when you're going, and most people don't like to eat a ton when they're hot.

I'd also see if you can move Chef Mickey's back. A 7:30 breakfast after a 9:30 dinner at the end of vacation, is going to be hard to get all 4 of you up and excited for.

Wonderland Tea Party is an event just for kids, "No parents allowed (as they say)." My 5 year-old went in March and absolutely loved it!!

I think you're ok, but I agree with Drince's fish & chips suggestion. There's NO way of knowing if you'll get a waterside table for Illuminations. It's first-come, first-served, and completely based on how the tables turn over.

You'll love the tea. I'm the resident tea nut around here (well, Bennette too).

One word of caution: DON'T TOUCH THAT LECELLIER RESSIE!!!! It will be impossible to get another one. You've got some GREAT places to eat! Have a good time. Oh, and yes--you can order just dessert or whatever. I've never been told I had to order a certain amount.

Funny story, not knowing how precious the Le Celliers ressie is, when I first made my ressie, I scheduled Sat 8-22 and realized we did have park tickets. I called dining back, I was on hold for 68min. told the CM my mistake switch to Thu 8-20 @12PM. After making that change, the other family we are traveling with stated noon was a conflict. I called back the next day and change to 2:30pm and added more park tickets.

I should have left it at 12 darn it. Now I call dining everyday hoping to get an earlier time.

Our window finally opened yesterday. We booked our laundry list of ADRs and as we were going to confirm the cast member says, Ive never had this message before, but it looks like we lost some of your reservations. Of course as we are going through this massive list of confirmation numbers (it took an hour to book the first time around), we find out that CRT was one of the ADRs lost! FREAK OUT TIME!!!!!! For a minute or two, until we found out she was able to book us in the same time time slot as before *Whew*

Anyway, after much consternation, this is what we ended up with for Me, DD9, DGP and DGM. Aside from CRT, Im particularly stoked about the California Grill reservation time:

    Rose & Crown - 7:30 PM

    Sunday 8/30
    Chef Mickey's - 8:00 AM
    Yak & Yeti - 1:00 PM
    Tokyo Dinig - 7:30 PM

    Monday 8/31
    Boma - 9:30 AM
    Coral Reef - 2:30 PM
Chefs De France - 7:30 PM

    Tuesday 9/1
    Sci-Fi Dine In - 12:30
    California Grill - 8:00 PM

    Wednesday 9/2
    Kona Cafe - 12:00 PM
    San Angel Inn - 7:00

    Thursday 9/3
    Cinderella's Royal Table - 8:10 AM
    Narcoosee's - 7:20 PM

    Friday 9/4
    50's Prime Time Cafe - 12:30 PM

    Saturday 9/5
    1900 Parc Fare - 8:30 AM
    Le Cellier - 8:55 PM

    Ohana - 8:05 PM

    Monday 9/7
    Whispering Canyon - 9:50 AM

I just ate there a month ago, and had a terrific meal. I think the changes were small. I know they added grilled shrimp back in. They still bring out way too many appetizers, really tasty ones like bbq chicken wings and that delicious coconut bread. You have to fight to leave room for all the meats they bring around. I was a big fan of the pineapple with caramel dipping sauce, but they've replaced it with a bananas foster type dessert that's pretty tasty. Come hungry, leave stuffed to the gills!!!

Looks like some GREAT choices, but do you really think you will be able to handle 3 sit down meals a day? And, some of the times are so close together that unless you have a salad or appetizer, I don't know how you'd be hungry for your next meal.

At least everything is booked and you can change thinsg around if need be.

I'm so excited to hear this. I tried for many weeks to get a reservation here and finally got lucky with a 6:40 ADR on Saturday. Must have been a cancellation. Lucky me!! I think the kids will love it and I'm really looking forward to the food. This is one of two places I REALLY wanted to try. The other, Le Cellier, is still a no-go. We have a lot of good ADR's so if we can't sneak it in, we will have something to look forward to on our next trip!

    Come on, it's only 2 days with 3 ADR's...

You should see the full list of ADR's we booked. These are only the ones I would like to go to. And even then, I'm with you... I don't know if I'll be doing Chef Mickey's or Chefs de France. Well, I might just opt to eat until I explode with Chefs de France.
We're going with my parents and my dad is determined to get every ounce of value from his dining credits, so he has booked 3 a day, every day.

Oh wow! Good luck! It sounds fantastic, I just don't know if I could handle all of that food. Even two a day is pushing it in my mind. Unless it's breakfast and a late dinner, I guess.

I finally just read through this entire thread, and am concerned about the hours spent on the phone making ADRs, and the ones that have been lost. That's just terrible. I hope they are getting the bugs worked out of the system. I book mine in September for meals around Christmastime. I'm now stressin' out!

For what its worth, all the reservations we lost the first time around, including CRT, we were able to get the exact same times when the CM went back into the system. Still, anything important to you, I would get confirmation right after I booked each one. Then do your laundry list after that. It took 10 minutes just to read through all our confirmation numbers and it was agonizing.
Also, you would have to think that the system will only improve from here on out.

I was stressing about that call for weeks. From all I had read, I was prepared not to get every ADR I wanted. Maybe my experience was the exception, but I found that if youre flexible (and not even excessively) about what time you eat and plan what days might work as an alternate, youll have no trouble with your ADRs. Just be sure to call once they open.
