It's no different with a couple or larger party-you either include people in the conversation or you don't. You often "share a table" at a hibachi type restaurant, but that is less intimate, because you are all seated around the periphery of the grill, on three sides. You don't, necessarily, hear other people's conversation, because they may be seated a few feet from you. At Biergarten, you may be seated directly next to or across from a stranger, so they can hear your conversation. When we ate there, there were six in my party, and another couple were seated there. We mostly kept to ourselves, but we made polite chit-chat with them. It's the "luck of the draw"-a single diner might be included in the conversation, and enjoy it, or the diner may be stuck at a table with people he or she doesn't enjoy, and would rather be sitting alone, than dealing with someone else's screaming kids, etc. If you were seated with us, we would chat with you, and hope you spring for a round.

So Dan, then Tokyo Dining would be perfect if you wanted that kind of food! Same food, regular served tables!

I have eaten at Biergarten only once, and it was a very awkward experience. I was seated at a table with a party of 5, and they kinda freaked out that someone else was sitting at their table. I tried a little polite chat, but nothing doing! So I ate in silence, and felt strange that I was obviously interfering with this other party.

ugh Dan, I usually enjoy awkward situations, but that sounds terrible. Awkward chit chat is so much fun, I can't believe they wouldn't participate.

It was literally a situation where for whatever reason they felt threatened by me, and after my attempts at conversation stopped the mom and dad would sneak glances at me, hoping that I wouldn't freak out and hurt them all! Very very strange!!!

I hate those kind of people. In person, I am SHY so I let the handsome one talk- he likes to talk, but I listen and interact in the convo a bit. Why be so stuck up? I bet they would have learned SO much from you! You are VERY knowledgeable- Their loss!

We're all set for Thanksgiving weekend.

Thanksgiving dinner is at Trails End @ Ft Wilderness, it was a spur of the moment decision, they have a special holiday buffet and last years menu looks really good so we are trying it.

Friday - we're trying Paradiso 37 for dinner, I cant wait to try this.

Saturday - 50's PT cafe. We've done this before but we're going with friends so it'll be fun!

Trails End is a VERY good decision for T-giving! Paradiso 37 is on my wish list. Sadly, it will have to wait a while....

we were originally going to do Garden Grill on July 4th for DD7's b-day but then i realized our TiW is blocked out on the 4th. So now I'm trying to decided between Crystal Place or Garden Grill on the 3rd. if we did CP we'd do lunch and if we do GG it would be dinner. I cant decided, it's DD7's B-day meal, I like the price better for lunch at CP but I've heard good things about GG and I think we might be doing CP for breakfast in Dec. Does anyone have any input on this?

Well, if it was me, I'd do Garden Grill, since I haven't tried that one yet!

But I think I'll stick with GG anyway for you.
    - You get to wait inside (BIG deal in July)
    - You may be doing CP in December
    - Because they seat you in booths, you're more isolated/see less of the hubub around you, so it'll be more relaxing (after the heat)
    - You don't have to jump up and get more food and worry about having to time that around the character progression

Thoes are all very good points! I think we will be doing GG for dinner! You are so right, the inside wait and the fact that we dont have to jump up to get more food and worry about the characters will make it a much more relaxing experience! thank you!

Is there any good places for breakfast with biscuits and gravy, bacon etc? My dad keeps asking for a good morning breakfast on our up coming trip.

    He's a ham , eggs gravy man.

    Any suggestions?

Flying Fish Cafe x 2 (Dinners) Disney's Boardwalk ADR and is a (2) We have eaten there all seven trips and never had a bad meal.
Sanaa (Lunch & Dinner) ADR Animal Kingdom Villas. Ate there last year I was hesitant but they were very good about my picky tastes.
Via Napoli-Epcot this will be our first time eating there.
Boma Dinner Animal Kingdom Lodge- Buffet lots of good food, be hungry

Places we have eaten at in the seven years of trips Yachtsman-OK, Raglan Rose-Good first three years then food went down hill have not eaten there in the four trips.
LeCellier lunches, always awesome food and great service.
Boatwrights at Port Orleans, horrible food. Not worth the money or waste of dining reservation.
50's Primetime Cafe-Hollywood Studio - Always good food and great fun!!!!!
Jiko the Cooking Place-Animal Kingdom Lodge Awesome Food, cannot say enough great things about this restaurant.
