This is my first trip in 20 years- since I was 7! My family is obsessed with food, so I am pretty excited to try out all the restaurants we have planned:

Akershus- princess dinner for my 4yr old
    Polynesian Luau Dinner Show
    Restaurant Marrakesh
California Grill- a romantic night for just the Hubs and me! My parents are taking our daughter to Crystal Palace
    Biergarten

There are a few counter service restaurants I am excited to try too.

That sounds really cool. As you may or may not know, the California Grill is my favorite restaurant anywhere. Ask for a seat by the window overlooking the Magic Kingdom - incredible view!

Hello everyone. New to Mouse Pad. Glad I found Mouse Planet. Planning next trip to the World on Sept 6 thru Sept 12. First time going during that time of year. Looking forward to the World not the heat. There is 8 of us going and are ADR are as follows:
    9/6 - Kona Cafe (3rd visit)
    9/7 - Via Napoli (1st visit)
    9/8 - O'hana (2nd visit)
    9/9 - Whispering Canyon (1st Visit
    9/10 - 50's Prime Time (2nd Visit)

Any recommendations of something special we might be missing out on. Not sure if Via Napoli is worth it or not. Not looking for any 2 dining credits.
Thanks and look forward to speaking with other Disney Folks.

We went during those dates last year. As long as we got some rain I didn't feel the heat was "too bad".

my wife just cancelled Brown Derby.
says instead were going to the diner that you have to sit in cars... which one was that?

I know we are eating at the Castle one day.. Tusker House, Park Fare, Ohana.. I think that's it for the table services.

Welcome! Your list looks good. Via Napoli was just redone, and the reviews look good. And just for the record, the restaurant in the Polynesian is 'Ohana, not O'hana. A lot of people give it the Irish spin, but it's not. Have a great time!

I think it was Tutto Italia in Italy which just re-opened. I need to check out the reviews! I've been to both Via Napoli and Tutto Italia and like them both!

You are absolutely right - Via Napoli is the pizza place. Sorry for the confusion. And I ate there once just after it opened and had a great meal. Just readjust your expectations - you won't get a loaded down pizza like from Pizza Hut. But what you do get is really tasty!

If you want a walk in at LeCellier, better sit right outside the door as soon as they drop the rope for World Showcase. If you get it, I'm going to suggest ya go buy a lottery ticket immediately! LOL.

It's highly likely we'll be one wafer thin mint away from it!

Our mantra is that on the dining plan if your hungry your doing it wrong...

Plus aside from the ADR's we'll have the snacks and we've left a couple of dining credits open for counter service...

Hopefully we'll walk all of it off in the parks and resorts...

    Gimme a bucket . . .

I have only one tip for you. On the days when you're eating big at night (like at the California Grill), eat lighter at lunch. There's nothing worse than sitting down at a great restaurant and not having an appetite!

That's probably the only day I see they may have an issue with what they have planned. Maybe a light CS lunch or a snack instead of the Plaza?

Nice spacing (seems to be at least 5 hours between almost every meal on all days but 1) Skippydoo - but like others, I also thought that 3 sit-down restaurants might be a bit much for one day (even if it is Christmas Day).

However, I then checked the Plaza menu http://allears.net/menu/menu_pr.htm and with it's salad and sandwich fare, the Plaza actually lends itself to a light lunch in a sit-down restaurant. So now I see your way of thinking. It's good to have 3 ADRs for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at sit-down restaurants. The ADRs on Christmas Eve are 5 hours apart and the Christmas Day ADRs have light lunch fare at the Plaza. No standing around waiting on counter service. B+ in the ADR planning department from me.

On our next trip we have the DDp and will be eating at T-Rex, Cape May dinner buffet (twice), Crystal Palace, Whispering Canyon Cafe, Hoop Dee Doo dinner show and Rainforest Cafe. All other meals will be CS meals.

I think the Plaza would be OK as long as they eat lightly, like maybe a chicken ceasar salad instead of some heavy sandwich and fries.

And if we are talking about what to eat at the Plaza, we got one steak sandwich and 2 soups and split it between 2 people. Of course, if you're on the DDP, that won't apply....but for others who are looking for a lighter sit down, it is a good option. The tomato soup there is REALLY good!

Isn't it an option on the DDP to just eat a little bit? You may not be getting value at that particular meal, but if someone wanted to skip an entree and just share one between two people, will they allow that?

    First time at DisneyWorld! YAY!

What do y'all think of this plan?

    Thurs (thanksgiving): 8:55AM Crystal Palace
8PM Whispering Canyon (Think this is an ok place to have Thanksgiving? The only other opening was Floridian Cafe)

    Friday: 5:30 Nine Dragons

    Saturday (Islands of Adventure)

    Sunday: 11:30 Yak and Yeti
    7PM 50's Dine in

Monday: 7:15 Chef Mickeys (Do we have to wake up at the crack of dawn to get there from Coronado Springs?
    7:30PM : Liberty Tree Tavern.
