I had the Grilled Swordfish - with Crisp Mealie Pap, asparagus and tomato-pancetta vinaigrette and Jimmy had the Roasted Lamb Loin- with herbed couscous, sun-dried cherries and red curry sauce. For dessert I had the Tanzanian Chocolate Cheesecake - With chocolate ganache, amarula sauce, and lavender ice cream and a African Black Tea and Jimmy had coffee and donuts (coffee ice cream & spiced donuts) and a cup of coffee.
(Jimmy's dessert does not seem to be on the menu any more but I copied and pasted what I wrote in my trip report.)

Everything we had was so good!!!

We are having to "re-do" our thinking when it comes to eating at WDW this time. My oldest daughter will be ten on our next trip, and she doesn't eat enough to justify what they will charge her at the buffets...so here is what I came up with:

Day One: Lunch wherever we may be, Dinner at Le Cellier

Day Two: Lunch at Sci-Fi Diner, Dinner at Earl of Sandwich

Day Three: Lunch at Harbour House (it's a tradition!) Dinner at a CS in Epcot

Day Four: Breakfast at Akershus (my yougest daughter will be four and totally into the princesses!) Lunch and Dinner somewhere!?!

Wow, looking at this list like this makes me realize this is the least amount of planning I have ever done on our WDW eating...We usually have a TS (buffet) every night for dinner, but with my oldest daughter eating like a bird it just makes sense to eat places she can order exactly what she will eat.

I really wish they had a "tween" price for food and/or dining plan!

Ok..If this needs to be moved* feel free to move it but this is my VERY longgg dining plan(getting myself ready for the actual trip report)... If you can get through it, please feel n free to comment and suggest away*

    Disney Dining Pre-Trip Report
    April 29-May2nd**4 day Disney Cruise
Then May 2nd to May 10th @ WDW for 9 Days 8 nights@ CSR with Deluxe Dining Crew: Kissy *27*Disney trip #39 (( that is a childhood nickname that flowed me all the way through my teens into adulthood and NOO this nickname is not because I liked to suck face, but because I would always pout and do the kissy face to get what I wanted- still do ))
Handsome-*25* Disney Trip # 7 (yes I like them younger haa) is Greg my handsome Army boyfriend
Celebration of our 3 years, and a long trip before he is away, in Cali, Army training for almost two months 
We decided to get the deluxe dining plan because we had one signature restaurant and one show in mind, besides our regular dinning package restaurants. We took the time to think it through, and if you add those 2 extra dining experiences, 2 refillable mugs, pay for breakfast every day, and snacks, that would be about 250$ each extra to add to the regular dinning. Since it was only 240$ more to add the deluxe, it just seemed so worth it to us. Now we get some extra choices and a lot of selection. Some people say it is too much food. It could be, but its the way you spread out your dinning each day. No way would we do 3 sit down meals a day. It would be impossible to do anything else in the world, and it would be tooooooooooo much food. The way we worked it out was that we would have 3 two credit dinners/shows, 2 sit downs a day, and one quick service to fill in the blanks (or skip the quick service and use a snack for breakfast.) We also make a stop at Goodings the first day to grab some on the go breakfast snacks. Also, handsome LOVES his beer, and a 24 pack will save us SERIOUSSS $ for the week (at least at the hotel.)
So when we eat, we do not OVER do it. We actually eat healthy, NEVER scrape the plate, and we nibble at the dessert. Since the deluxe adds appetizers to it, I am going to be really sticking to soups and salads for this part. We will also go to the gym at least 5-6 days of our vacation. YES, it is vacation, but the gym is a good thing for us. We do not dread it like most people, its motivating. Its actually one of the main reasons we were attracted to stay there last year, in the first place. We loved it so much, we are back again. One more thing to note: I have a SERIOUS jaw disorder. I cant open more than an inch, so my choice of food is PICKYYYY. I am not a snot with my choices because I want to be. I have a legit reason. I cannot chew meat. Chicken is as far as I can go. Ok so now that you know all about the reasons to do what we are doing (well almost all,) I will start with OUR AMAZING DINING EXPERIENCES, yet to comeeee.

    May 2nd 2010
Breakfast Is going to be on the Ship* our final buffet there* So our WDW dining extravaganza starts for lunch 
Lunch- We are going to use a quick service @ Wolfgang puck express in the Market place ( there are two expresses- one on the west side I believe, but this one is less crowded and equally as yummy) We ate here back in December, and the food is great. They have such a unique selection, and GREATTTT portions. Also, the service here is great. Yup, food service at a quick service place. I will never manage to finish my meal, but handsome will take care of that. He is always looking for extra portions of protein. GYM HEAD. Which is great, but all that extra protein has to RELEASE at some point, lucky me!
Dinner Tonights dinner is a late one. We will be eating at the WAVE @ the Contemporary resort. When I looked over the menu, I was a little worried because I saw tons of MEAT and we know my issue with meat. Finally, CHICKEN POT PIE jumped out at me, and now we are all set. I have never been here. We have been to the Concourse Steakhouse, but never to its replacement. I am looking forward to eat here. I have heard great reviews.

    May 3rd, 2010
Breakfast: Donalds Safari Breakfast @ Tusker house* We discovered this spot last year in May, and I have been there 4 times since. It is one of my favorite breakfast buffets. It is VERYY noisy- tons of kids- BUT the food is worth it. We had a waitress twice (same woman 3 months apart) that was originally from my home town. She talked about local paces, and she was happy to talk about the place she grew up* It was cool for me because Everett is a TINYYY city. But in Disney, like they say.. its a small world  I think this buffet is filled with a great assortment. Again, the handsome one LOVES meat and protein. This buffet was his favorite (but he has yet to Try Chef Mickeys for Dinner )
Lunch: We do not have anything planned* We will use a quick service for this one. Maybe at our hotel?? Or we saw that they have a picnic now at Animal Kingdom.. I am interested in that. Since we are going to be at that park, we might check up on that* I was told you can use it for one quick service credit. Anyone know anything about this?
Dinner: We are going to Big River Grill. The food here is AMAZING* I didnt think you could make reservations, but I read somewhere that you can, but only up to 24 hours. I have eaten here only two times, but both times I was truly satisfied. We plan on going to Jellyrolls after so this was an EASY Boardwalk choice for us. I talked briefly about my jaw issue, and I am telling you I have not eaten meat meat in SO long. But when the bf got steak here, it was SOOOO juicy, and chewable, that I actually could eat it. I ate at the Grand Floridian at a Wedding in 2008, and the same thing happened. They were equally as yummy. It was kind of liberating for me. Weird sounding, but steak is GREAT, and stinks I am limited. Made me feel good.

    May 4th, 2010
Breakfast- Today we dont have anything planned for Breakfast, but like I mentioned before, we will be getting snacks at Goodings, and we have 2 snacks per day, so maybe we will use one entitlement for a muffin or something small. We have to save room for our EXCITING lunch .. Which is..
Lunch: CINDERELLAS ROYAL TABLE  I have eaten here 5 times, but never for lunch. I know theres not a HUGEEE difference, but its always nice to try different times. Besides, the mouse himself  my favorite character is Cinderella, and being in the castle is extra special to me. I just smile from the second I walk in. I love how they greet and treat you in there.. Treating me like the princess I am.. ha-ha 
Dinner: La Chef De France.. Dont get me wrong, I do enjoy it here, but I have been 4 times in 3 years, and the menu is still the same. There were a FEW changes, but basically the same. I LOVEE the onion soup, but the main courses, are not my favorites. I know I am going to be with the bf BUT these French waiters are HUGE pieces of eye candy.  I like to sit near the window though, because the inner room is congested. The manager has been there for years, and he is the most clean cut take my job SERIOUS guy Ive seen. He has his staff in check. Haa

May 5th, 2010 (this is a FOOD day* 3 sit downs in 1 day but this is one of our ONLY sit down FULL DAYS)
Breakfast: Maya Grill. I think we wanted to sleep in a few days so this way, we get a good breakfast; but we dont have to venture far. I really enjoy the buffet here. There is a little bit of everything. Handsome likes oatmeal and fruit, and I remember them having that at Maya Grill. I figured that we COULD eat a quick breakfast at the Pepper Market, but since this is a buffet, and you can eat at your own pace, since they would both cost the same entitlement, lets just go for the bigger one  I am ALL about getting the most out of this deluxe thing!

Lunch: Le Cellier Steakhouse. I love the food here, but I have not been since 2005 because I was bummed the last time because my whole family ate steak, and as we know, I cannot* Since then, I have learned to adjust and just get something else. I have looked over the menu, and there are some things I am excited about* I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE cheese soup.. of any kind! So I am looking forward to this. SO many people have shown their interest in this soup. I am also a HUGE Choc. mousse fan. And the boyfriend will be in HEAVEN PROTEINNN All around!

Dinner: OHANAAAAAAAAAAAA!! This handsomes FAVORIE Disney restaurant.. GUESS WHY? TONSS of meat. We went last May and I was so upset because I was paying all this $ for food I could NOT possibly eat. We go there ALLL the time. I would just nibble on bread and salad and veggies, while EVERYONE else KILLS the meat. Last time, they offered me portions of the kids section. Mac and cheese
(MY FAV). Chicken fingers- I can manage hose. So thats why we are going. He LOVES it and I can enjoy something I like also. But the REAL reason we go here* BANANA BREAD PUDDING! By far, my most favorite dessert in WDW. Also, I love walking around the resort, near the lake, at night. We had one of our BEST nights there last year. Relaxing is one of my key points on this trip. I dont NEED to see all the rides. I would rather enjoy the shows and restaurants.

    May 6th, 2010
Breakfast: We are going to go the quick stuff in the room, or grab a snack on our way out. No exactly plans for breakfast today. DEF coffee though 

Lunch: Hollywood and Vine. This is another favorite of mine. I KNOW its the character spot, but the food is a GREATTT selection. I may sound out of whack, but I swear they have the BESTT ranch dressing EVER here. I LIVE on ranch dressing. I eat it with pizza, salad, bread, mashed potatoes, and chicken. I enjoy the buffet here. My handsome has been here on EVERY trip weve taken because I ALWAYS have to make a stop here. It IS noisy thats why we USUALLY eat here for dinner, but we are going to just suck it up because I like the food that much! They have GREAT desserts here too! MOUSSE  of course! And to end my meal: ALWAYSS here- a glass of Choc milk! Gotta keep up with Tradition! Right?
Dinner: Tutto Italia. I am Italian so this place hits home. The authenticity of this place is evenly balanced*We have our REAL Italian dishes, but also classics that most people associate with ITALY. I did NOT like Alfredos. It was TOO authentic. We ate here for our anniversary last year. The staff is GREAT! Gotta LOVE those Italian guys. The food is great, but the relaxing atmosphere is what I love the most!

    May 7th, 2010 ANNIVERSARY DAY!
Breakfast: Once again, at the hotel. I am sure we will want to RELAX all day * We are going to plan something fun this day* Water sports? Horseback riding? So we dont have a specific time to have breakfast. We do have a reservation at Maya Grill @ 10am BUT its usually not crowded there; so, if we want to go earlier, we can just show up.
Lunch: Like I said a second ago, we do not know where the day is going to take us, so we wanted to keep this time window opened for whatever may spring. With saying that, we are going to just do a quick service today* Destination : UNKNOWN 
Dinner: At the CALIFORNIA GRILL  I said this in an earlier post but, we have reservations for 8:55pm.. We are going to get there around 8:30 so that we can somehow see the fireworks. If we eat before, while, or after, its fine* Just REALLY want to see Wishes from up there* I was told the menu changes weekly* I hope it changes to something I can and will eat! Ha! I was NOTT happy with the menu, but the appetizers and the desserts and the atmosphere will just win over the main course I eat* I am excited to eat here* It has been something weve wanted to do for a while now. With the Deluxe plan, it just made it a must!

    May 8th, 2010
Breakfast- Quick one again.. Probably redeem one of our 2000+ snacks (jk) and then we are heading out.
Lunch: The Plaza Restaurant I have not eaten here since 2002. I heard the sandwiches are great. But what is grabbing me by the horns: THAT ICE CREAM! I LOVEE the sundae shop next door, and I know they carry the same sundaes. I know that all of Disney carries Eddys, but I find it more enjoyable with that piped in smell flowing down Main street  I just closed my eyes for a second and ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Dinner: SPIRIT OF ALOHA  I have only been to this once.. I was 5 (maybe 6) yrs old..It was an 8:15pm show and by 8:45 I was passed out on the chair in my moms arms. Needless to say, I have SMALL memories of getting there, getting a lei, and being woken up to leave. I am excited for this because it is something new. Handsome is LOVING the free beer included* This will be one night we are SOOO happy to use Disney transportation* I love my wine and BOY DOES HE LOVE his beer. We planned on seeing this when we had just the regular dinning. I figured this would have run us, $120-ish. So thats another HUGE reason we got the deluxe. I am looking forward to this night!

    May 9th, 2010
Breakfast: same as the day before. I LOVE breakfast foods, but I feel like wasting a sit down on Breakfast everyday is a waste. There are only so many waffles. Eggs, and bacon one person can eat. We actually (think I said this before) love oatmeal and I LOVE muffins, so grabbing this a few times during our stay will be fine by us  Just make sure to GIMMIE MY COFFE - hahha!! 

Lunch: Mama Melrose. I am NOT a fan AT ALL, but once again, handsome loves it. I feel since we are both paying, its only fair to let him have a few choices..haaa! I mean you cant go wrong with salad, so thats probably going to be my choice. My family loves it here, handsome loves it here, but me.. NO THANKS! I did hear they have a great cocktail: Magical Star Cocktail. I am looking forward to trying that out. Of course, I will find a dessert to eat. Sweet tooth kicks in  along with some warm coffee to end the meal. I am not worried about it because at this point, the less food I eat, the better 
Dinner: CHEF MICKEYS. I have had dinner here, but handsome has not* Ive been twice with my mom, and we both just rave about it* The handsome one is curious to see what is so great* Oh, he shall find out. EVERYTHING you can think of is covered* meats, chicken, pasta, fish, and my alllll timeee favorite: Parmesan mashed potatoes. OMG!! They have the good ranchhhhh. Puree heaven to me. Of course, salad, fruits, and yes yes DESSERT. I am such a buffet fan because I am limited to certain foods, and I can always find so many things to eat. Not to mention, I instantly become a kid when Mickey and the gang come see me. Love to swing my napkin. Picture time!

May 10th, 2010- our last day( tear tear)
Breakfast= Whispering Canyon.. The wait staff and the atmosphere is the best. I loveeeee it* Handsome always gets the Big soda glass. I swear he just asks for soda to get it. I love the unlimited Mickey waffles, with the all you can eat. BUT I am thinking I may be STUFFFED and may want to just eat light. WHO AM I KIDDING? Me pass up Mickey waffles on my last day? To not eat them again for.. I dunno 2-3 months (Yessss planning a trip in the summer with mom for my bday.)
Lunch: Crystal Palace. I have been here for breakfast and dinner MANY MANY times, but never for lunch. I am assuming the food will be just as great. The variety here is great* One time handsome actually got in the kids parade... and Ya, we were NOT with any kids. I was laughing so hard. I do have pictures 

So that concludes my dining choices. Feel free to share your comments 

WDWGurl, your selections sound great! I agree with you on Les Chefs: it's good and I love the atmosphere, but they really need to change up their menu. Have you ever tried the Kona Cafe? The bread there (served only at dinner) is phenomenal!

For our brief two night stay in July, we're eating at the Kona Cafe for dinner (after our traditional mini-golf championship at Fantasia Fairways, right across the street from where we'll be staying -- the Dolphin), and then the next day, one full day hopping from Epcot in the morning to the MK in the evening, we're having a late lunch at Le Cellier and then dinner, most likely, at the Columbia Harbor House.

    1999 - Coronado Springs (1 night); 2003 - DL's Paradise Pier (5 nights); 2005 - All Star Music (7 nights); 2007 - POP Century (10 nights); 2008 - DL's Paradise Pier (5 nights); 2009 - POP Century (10 nights); 2010 - Dolphin (2 nights); 2011 - POP Century (7 nights); June 8-18, 2012 - POFQ (10 nights); next trip,June 18-22, 2013 - POFQ (5 nights). If I'm not at Walt Disney World or Disneyland, I'm not really happy.

I was hoping it was close to DHS.I am SOO trying to get out of going to Mama Melrose. He said if I can find somewhere better. Sci-Fi is ok, but not my fav and he doesn''t like 50's Prime Time( although I do) so we clash on this one* I Know boardwalk is right there, and so is the Y & BC but I was hoping Kona Cafe was coser because I have heard many great things about it. time for a new sit-down at dhs

Well, just a short boat ride away from DHS is the new restaurant from Iron Chef Kat Kora, KOUZZINA RESTAURANT; I've been wanting to try it but will probably have to wait until our next big trip to the "world" in 2012. Might be something to try.

The 911-ness of this choice/change was so needed that I had to call handsome at work and ask him if it was ok to change* He was so busy so he was rushhy, that helped.. he quickly agreed PERFECT. SO I went online just to check and I switched the reservation to BROWN DERBY. Same day.. Same time* 2 entitlements= just knock out one of my quick service lunches one day. If I am hungry, I will just eat a snack for lunch* One day without a full meal won't kill me!

Thanks for the reminderr KJSJpipe- It totally slipped my mind because I normally don;t have the entitlements or extra $ for this one

WDWGurl, WDWInfo.com has a 12/09 menu for Hollywood Brown Derby. There are a couple of changes from the August menu, so you may be happier with that choice.

I just wanted to say that it's nice to hear you calling your husband by such an endearing name. There's another young lady that is getting a lot of trip planning help here on Mousepad who apparantly has a jerk of a husband. No pet nicknames there - just "I hope we can get stuff planned that my idiot husband will want to do", etc. It gets a little old, and your approach is very refreshing!

Phbbbt Omg, we got everything we wanted. Hooray!

We are going on our 4th annual trip during Fall 10. This is the only time of year that we know because the first time we went we knew we loved it. The weather was 85ish, hot enough to be in the water alot, crowds were gone, Halloween party, Food and Wine Festival.

Last year 2009, we didn't get alot of the dining we wanted because of the shorter booking time. I got sick of the system saying there was nothing available. Well our date for 2010 was this past Saturday. Wow. Amazing. I got everything I asked for and at our times.

Thought it would have been harder with 6 people because my inlaws are joining us.

Our ADR's include: in no particular order
    Raglan Road-dinner
    T-Rex-dinner
    Ohana-breakfast
    Kona Cafe-breakfast
    Chef Mickeys-breakfast
    1900 Park Fare-breakfast
    Maya Grill-dinner
    Big River Grille-dinner
    Whispering Canyon-dinner
    Cape May Cafe-dinner (date night)
    Brown Derby-dinner (date night)
    California Grill-dinner
    Boma-dinner

I will be likely cancelling 2 of these. My inlaws have never been to WDW. I am just sooooo thrilled that I had to share.

YAY! Isn't it exciting when that happens?! I too have been blessed by the ADR fairy this trip - and I was NO WHERE near "early" in booking ! Granted... we are on the Quick Sevice Dining so we aren't doing many ADRs - but they are tougher ones to get and we got everything we wanted WHEN we wanted it !! - Princess Storybook, Hoop De Doo & Chef Mickey's

If you book as soon as your window opens, you usually can have pretty good luck getting what you want. Congrats!

Yeah. Now that we go so often I try to make sure we try new restaurants. Even if we end up not liking them we can at least say we tried them.
