I guess not...we have never done Chef Mickey for breakfast, only dinner, so I am excited to try it. I love, love, LOVE Crystal Palace. It was our first WDW TS ever, and we always do birthdays there. There is a puffed french toast stuff at breakfast that I swear I could eat every single day of my life...YUM! I am so excited that we are under 90 days!
Better keep your eye on me...I'll go coastal on ya....
OOooohhhh...tell me about the French Toast.
What is it stuffed with?
See what my son made for me?
I don't think it's stuffed, it is like layers of light, fluffy, cinnamom and sugar goodness...I can't even explain how good it is!!!
Better keep your eye on me...I'll go coastal on ya....
We're going during free dining, so I think we were really fortunate to get everything we wanted! We'll be overlapping with my parents for the first three reservations, but aside from that, it's just two adults (I speculate it's sometimes easier to get a ressie for 2 adults - it was much harder to book the 4 adults earlier in the week), but here's what they are:
Saturday: Le Cellier (Dinner)
Sunday: Rose and Crown or Tutto Italia (dinner)
Monday: Crystal Palace (breakfast), Chefs de France (dinner)
Tuesday: California Grill (anniversary dinner!!)
Wednesday: Coral Reef (dinner)
Thursday: Bistro de Paris (oop dinner)
Friday: Tony's Town Square (dinner during MNSSHP)
We'll end up paying oop for one of the other meals as we only have 7 TS credits, but would use 8 if we used the DDP for all of them (**sigh**).
Do we have to let them know in advance whether or not we'll use the DDP credits or can we wait until we get there, see how hungry we are, and let them know when we decide to order?

I THINK you'll need to tell your server when you begin to order if you're "on the plan" or not. But if you're still not sure at that point, ask him/her if you can decide at the end when you decide if you want dessert. They might tell you that you need to decide up front because of their computer system, but I don't know enough about that system to know for sure.

Disney Again! Polynesian '09!
hoping to go back soon...
I couldn't believe how hard it was to get our ADRs figured out (well after reading this thread I can). We decided on a whim to plan a trip for August (right at the beginning of free dining) a couple weeks ago, so well into the 90 day window already. We upgraded to the deluxe dining plan because we have small kids who need to eat the 3 meals and 2 snacks a day. Also having small children we needed to plan very well the basic structure of our day. We didn't get all of our first choices and some of the times are crazy, but I think we did pretty good.
Breakfast:
The Crystal Palace
Hollywood and Vine
Boma
Dinner:
*Trails End (Had to eat at a resort, wanted TS and this was basically all they had available that worked with our arrival flight...anyone eaten there before?)
*Liberty Tree
*Hollywood and Vine (same day as the breakfast one, we really wanted Sci-fi but this was all they had at HS which is where we will be that day)
*Whispering Canyon
We will do QS for lunch each day at whichever park we are in. We'll also pick up a QS breakfast on our way out of our resort to the airport.
We love Trails End...yummy comfort food and a relaxed atmosphere. You can usually get this day of, it is very rarely crowded. As far as Sci-Fi, call a few times between now and your trip date to see if they have any openings, and then call from the hotel that morning, and again from the park if you have a cell phone.
Better keep your eye on me...I'll go coastal on ya....
Hey, I think you did a good job considering you were already within the 90 day window. I really like Trails End. In fact, we're going back to try out their breakfast this August.
Working hard for that next WDW trip! December 2013
We are travelling from Oregon and have a group of 12. Here is our list:
Sept 11 8:25 am Chef Mickey's (7) / 4 tix to Night of Joy
Sept 12 7:15 pm Hoop-Dee-Doo category 3, but oh well (6)
7:15 pm Raglan Raod (6)
Sept 13 6:30 pm Crystal Palace (12)
Sept 14 7:30 pm Illuminations Grand Gathering (12)
Sept 15 6:00 pm Boma (12)
Sept 16 8:20 am Tusker House Breakfast (7)
7:30 pm Rainforest Cafe (6)
7:45 pm Rainforest Cafe (6 more....wouldn't book 12 together)
Sept 17 8:10 am Akershus Princess Breakfast (7)
6:10 pm Rose and Crown (5)
Sept 18 4:20 pm Mama Melrose + Fantasmic (12) Maybe fix glitches by Sep?
Sept 19 5:40 pm Cape May (12)
Plus the 7 year old is going on the pirate adventure at 9:30 am
Sept 20 6:45 pm Le Cellier (3)
We do not have park hoppers, which influenced it alot. Plus, travelling w/ mostly teens who want late hours not early, so that added another complicationConsidering group size, pretty happy we got everyone to mostly agree or just two options....I thought I would be making way more 2 or 3 here and 2 or 3 at another place.
RFC is added because we have some gift cards from My Points. Also, we will have $60 in Planet Hollywood vouchers from our package, so we will fill in with those...anyone know if we need ADR's there?

Glad to hear Trails End is good. Today we decided to change our plan a bit...yes we are crazy and fully admit it. We were planning a day each at MK, HS, and AK but decided that MK needed 2 days and HS was more for DH and I and not really the kids (and we really want this trip to be all about the kids, or at least all about the 2 year old, the baby will not know any different). So that said...
Hollywood and Vine are both out as is Boma. In their places we are doing Cape May for breakfast, Chef Mickey's (we got very lucky and scored a lunch time), Ohana for breakfast, and going back to the Liberty Tree for lunch this time (it's a favorite of ours). We also have tickets to Hoop-Dee-Doo but it's the 9:30 show and I am just not sure we want to be out that late with the kids. We are also considering canceling the Whispering Canyon since it's at 9pm on a MK extra magic hours in the evening day now instead of an AK day. I don't know how we have been so lucky to get what we think are great dining options (added 3 new character meals) but I will take it!
Another ? for you Disney Vets...with the deluxe dining plan how many TS meals do you try to get in a day? We have at least 2 a day and the days with 3 are making me uneasy.

This is our first time with the Deluxe Dining Plan, too, and we are only doing 2 TS meals a day. I KNOW my 7 year old would get nuts if I tried 3 sit downs a day, so we will just play it by ear for lunches. We have a breakfast and dinner planned for each day, and I think that is enough of forcing him to sit for long periods. You know your kids best, so I would really try to stay flexible on the days you have three planned, and give them plenty of chances to run around and burn energy. There is at least one spot in each park where they can run, and I really would schedule that in for them. Have fun!!!!!

jsilky, that's a GREAT list!
Working hard for that next WDW trip! December 2013
I am really excited.
Last time we went in 2005 we only did Beirgarten, the sit down place in Italy, the Donald Safari Breakfast and RFC.
The rest was all counter service, which I actually think we enjoy more at DL. We love the counter service there, but had a hard time finding things we like in WDW. Hopefully with more planning and research this time will be better.
I think both the breakfast and the Italian place are different now. We didn't really like the Italian place, all the others were good but very expensive...hooray for free dining!!
