    Where are your ADRs?

I am interested in where everyone is eating at for their upcoming trips. I am going to have to make my ressies in a little over a month so let me live vicariously through you until then!

Also include if you are on the dining plan and which one it is!

    We have ADRs for:

Polynesian Luau our first night there
Lilo and Stitch Breakfast last morning
    Cinderella's Breakfast
    Hollywood and Vine/Fantasmic
    Donald's Breakfast at Animal Kingdom
    Princess Breakfast at Epcot
    Coral Reef at Epcot

All other meals not mentioned will be catch as we can...I was starting to feel too tied down to a schedule

We are still nailing down a date for our Halloween trip, it keeps moving!
We are going to try some different places and a few old favorites we have not been to in a while. On the list are:
    Tony's
    Chef Mickey's
    Raglan Road
    Teppan Edo -new
    Brown Derby -new
    Yak & Yeti -new
    California Grill -new

Nothing is written in stone but the kids really want to do Chef Mickey's for breakfast again. I am open to ideas and thoughts on other place not listed as well.

ETA: it will be Me, DH, DD (13) & DS(10) on the regular dining plan.

For two grownups on the deluxe during plan in early May

    Dinners:

    Raglan Road
    Rose and Crown
Brown Derby with preferred Fantasmic seating
    Jiko
    Flying Fish
    California Grill
    Hoop de Doo Review

    Breakfasts:

    Spoodles
    Captain's Grill (twice)
    Cafe Floridian
    Boma
Beach Club Room Service (sleeping in one day)

We have one lunch ADR at Tusker House that I expect to cancel. We are mostly just doing snacks at lunch.

I am calling once a week to see if any one has given up their Le Cellier reservation so I can take it but it's not looking good.

We'll be visiting Hurricane Hanna's and Beaches and Cream while we're there but they are walk up.

Don't forget to give us dining reviews when you get back!

I REALLY like the vegetarian wrap there. (And I'm a carnivore.) My sister and I got two wraps that sounded good and were splitting them, and the vegetarian was BY FAR the better of the two. Was talking with someone who was recently at Beach Club and of the food items she mentioned as being outstanding, that was one.

Well, I find myself in a strange situation now. For the first time since 2005, I find myself wanting to do more non-character meals. I'm sure my choices will be vetoed by DS 5 and DD 8. We'll see. Here are the ones I have to choose from. The ones with a * are non-negotiable, even for me.

    *Chef Mickey's - breakfast
    *Whispering Canyon Cafe - lunch
    *1900 Park Fare - supper
    *Crystal Palace - lunch
Biergarten - lunch (afraid this one may be too much for DS to handle)
Marakkesh - lunch (DH wants to try, I'm picky though)
Tusker House - breakfast (meh, could take it or leave it)
Akershus - supper (again, could take it or leave it)
Le Cellier - lunch (not sure if I really want to go through the hassle of getting ADR)
Cinderella's Royal Table - lunch or supper (not sure if I'm willing to give up 2 TS credits for it)

Not sure if we are going to make our August trip, but I've still got some time to figure all this out. And we will definitely be on the DDP.

MY DH b-day is the 16th too!!!

Called yesterday for Yak and Yeti, since we are a large group we had to call them directly. We had to split our group up but got in at 3:00. NOt too bad since that will be our big meal of the day. But not sure how that will go with how the 2yo will take his nap that day. Perhaps it will be a stroller nap that day. Anyone know what time the CS retaurants in All Star Sports is open until? DHS is open until 10 that night and was thinking maybe we'll eat a late snack when we get back. Still hoping for an earlier ADR for Crystal Palace. Maybe I should try splitting up our group again. What do you all think?

I THINK the resort food court at the value resorts is open until midnight. It might be 11, though.

I haven't booked AR's yet not time til the 31st of the month.
    Oct.29-House of Blues
    Oct30-Luau
    Oct31-Tonys or The Plaza
    Nov.1-Cindys Lunch, 50's Prime Dinner
    Nov.2-Ohana
Nov.3-Chef Mickeys breakfast before plane ride home
Any suggestions before I book my AR's would be appreciated. I'm taking my mom and my friend for their first time. This will be my ninth trip. I've never eaten at Tonys or the Plaza before but we have tickets to the Halloween party that evening of the 31st so I would like to stay in Magic Kingdom. Any one tried House of Blues? My mom liked the idea and my 15 year old son loves the blues brothers movie. Thanks in advance for all your input!

I haven't been to any House of Blues - but I don't think there's ANY connection to the Blues Brothers movie.

I see nothing from Epcot on your list. That's one of my favorite theme parks to eat in, since there's so much variety, plus you're going there during the Food & Wine festival, so you may want to plan some time to 'snack' around the world from the food booths!

We really enjoyed HOB, so much that we dined there twice on our first trip in 2007. Try the Voodoo Shrimp with Rosemary Cornbread app, it's wonderful & the Ribs are delicious.

We don't have too many planned for this trip since it is shorter AND last year as much as I loved planning, I realized I need some room to go with the flow with a smallish child (5 last year, 6 now).

So, this year here are our ADRs:

1900 Park Fare - I REALLY wanted it last year, but couldn't get in

Tusker House Breakfast - We never made it to AK as early as we hoped last year and ran out of time there so I figured booking an early breakfast would help us get moving, however it's an early EMH day so I wonder if it will take us just as long to get stuff done because of the crowd.

Rainforest Cafe at DtD - Did it last year with friends and their family, meeting them again and doing it again.

LAST YEAR I loved Yak and Yeti and Chef Mickey's for breakfast

    Crystal Palace
    Biergarten
    'Ohana

If I could make ADRs @ Flame Tree BBQ I would, but it's a counter service restaurant, so they don't take ADRs It is an absolute must for us each time

I keep hearing about this one, we might have to try it if we get hungry again before leaving AK.

It's not only great for the pulled pork sandwiches or the excellent ribs - the view from the multi-terraced seating area down by the water is an attraction in itself. Go way down by the water and watch Everest across the way - great entertainment during lunch!

It's a good thing I have a few months to go before I can make ADRs, because I'm totally overthinking it. My DH and I are veterans, and we're taking my parents (semi-veterans) and our son (3, first trip) for the free dining. Here are our picks so far (people with small children, give me your advice!)
    Day 1
    Whispering Canyon for lunch
    Liberty Tree Tavern dinner
    Day 2
    Hollywood/Vine char. breakfast
    Day 3
    Ohana dinner
    Day 4 (CS only)
    Day 5
    Tusker House char. breakfast
    Day 6
    Boma dinner
I still have 1 more TS to use. Do you think 2 character meals are too many? No telling if Liberty Tree will have characters or not. I heard rumors in both directions.

I'm not planning a trip until next July, but my dream ADRs would be:

Hoop Dee Doo review (never been there)
Beaches and Creme (I keep hearing good things about it)
Whispering Canyon (I would hope they still have a high energy level)
    Ohana
50's Prime Time Cafe (A must do on every trip!)
Teppan Edo (we just really enjoy Japanese)
    Boma (another must do)

And quick stops at the Kona Cafe for the infamous Tonga Toast, the Flame Tree Barbeque (with their super addicitive BBQ sauce), and the Kona Island Sushi bar (unless it's PS, then throw it on the above list ).

Boo... Thinking about WDW makes me hungry!

Chip, Beaches & Cream is excellent, but they don't take ADRs (just FYI). It is considered a TS credit, though, and isn't your greatest bang-for-the-buck. When I go there, I try to split a burger with whomever is along and just pay OOP (out of pocket).

The Sushi Bar at Poly--isn't that that little kiosk/bar type place next to Kona? It seemed fairly busy the last time I was there

Yes, the sushi bar at the Poly is right beside the Kona Cafe. My husband got sushi to go from there when we stayed in March. He said that it was very good. They also have the same sushi menu if you eat at the Kona Cafe, which was one of our two favorite places to eat the week that we were there. Our other favorite was Le Cellier.

Smile July 2009 Cullison Grand Gathering

We are taking 15 members of our family, including grandparents, sisters, niece and nephew, along with our 4 kids to WDW, staying at Beach Club Villas. The trip begins on July 24th, and we can't wait!

We are treating the whole bunch to lodging and Disney Dining Plan, so it should be tons of fun.

Sat, July 25th is daughter Meggie's 11th birthday and Monday, July 27th is sister Deb's birthday.

7/25 Dinner at O'Hana at the Polynesian (Meggie's choice)
7/26 Dinner at Tusker House in AK, part of Safari Celebration Grand Gathering
7/27 Dinner at Rose and Crown Pub in EPCOT, hoping for terrace seating
7/28 Character breakfast at Cape May Cafe in BCV
7/30 Dinner at Coral Reef in EPCOT

I think I may do my first trip report to detail this trip since we are taking such a large group and we are trying Grand Gathering events for the first time.

    Greg

After after waiting for 2 hours and then being disconnected and having to call back and wait another hour ~ I finally have these ADR's for dinner:

    August 21-30
    Hoop-Dee-Doo - dinner
    Whispering Canyon - dinner
    Crystal Palace - dinner
    1900 Park Fare - dinner
    Hollywood & Vine/Fantasmic Show - dinner
    Chef Mickey's - dinner
    Cinderella's Castle - dinner

I was hoping to get Prime Time but wasn't able to. Substituted Crystal Palace instead.
