Spring break trip - March 29-April 2, 2009

My dd and granddaughter and I had a five day park hopper. During our visit we were able to get right onto Pirates and HM during and after the fireworks. We actually were on a jeep for IJ on March 31, around 9 or 9:30 pm, when a couple of the jeeps crashed. (I think an operator sent one into the one ahead before they were out of the docking area) We have pictures. The ride was delayed while mechanics and a guy in a suit came to check it out. The first car was unloaded and taken off to a special place behind a wall. Yeah, we thought we were ready to go. Unfortunately when they sent the second car, that had crunched into the first car, forward it stopped in front of us. The lights came back on and we were all told that we would have to exit the cars and leave. It took longer to get out of the ride than it had to wait to get on the ride. Before we exited we were given a pass to let us on any ride in either park, (except Toy Story). We asked that it be made for the next day and the CM accommodated us. We used it to go on SM. It was very nice to be able to go right on that ride with no wait.
We hopped back and forth for our five days. The longest wait we found was for the new CA Toy Story ride. It was fun. Sunday we waited an hour, but the next time we rode it was only about a 20 minute wait.
We also lucked out on SM. The ride was down and we were able to be there when the CM started a line. We did wait about 15 minutes before he allowed the line to move up to the ride. Once the line moved we went right up to the start of the line and were able to get on.
I always forget how tired I get with all of the walking, even with going back to the hotel and getting a mid day break.
When I rest up a bit, I will be ready to go again and I will have forgotten how tired I get. I love being there, I just wish it didn't hurt so much to walk all over the parks.
Also there seemed to be an empty monorail riding around and only one being loaded, does anyone know why? We went to Goofy's kitchen one day and had to wait quite awhile for the monorail to go, we just missed one and the next one they were running empty and then finally the monorail arrived.
I did not want to walk at that point, but it would have been faster.
