    Grocery stores close by?

I know in the past when we've driven to D.L. we would drive to a Food 4 Less down Harbour. Now we are flying so where would the closest grocery store be (within walking distance)? I have heard there is a Target close by. How close and which direction. We could get our food at the 7-11 but a food store would be cheaper. Is that Food 4 Less even there anymore?
Also I have heard the character warehouse is maybe not worth the effort if we haven't our own transportation. True?

I've actually walked to food for less before. Yes it was still there in Dec. Target is down Harbor, seems to me about the same distance than Food for less but it depends on where you stay. One option is the bus. Theres a thread around here somewhere with which route you want. Taxi is also an option.

Have you thought about delivery? Albertson's delivers for a flat fee of $12.95, and no tips are expected.

Somtimes you can get free grocery delivery with your first online order with either vons.com or safeway.com and maybe albertsons.com. There's a Ralph's (www.ralphs.com) on Chapman west of Harbor and a Vons on Chapman too, east of Harbor.

Some of the extended stay hotels such as Residence Inn and Homewood Suites will shop for you with a 24 hour turnaround, free of charge.

Target is at Harbor south of Chapman. That's actually in Garden Grove. They don't have produce there, just snacks. Ralph's isn't far, maybe 2 miles to the west over Chapman.

We use this service at Residence Inn and it is great, BUT be specific on what you want. I said "Oreos" and got the Vanilla ones. We would give them our grocery list by 9am, and it was in the fridge by the time we came back from Disneyland for our afternoon downtime.
