Does anyone know if I can get a king bed room connecting to a double bed room at the Pop? On the top floor of the 70's building? I dont know how to read the room and bed maps and find them kinda confusing. Thanks for any help...

That's a lot of requests. Without seeing what you're looking at with the room configurations, it's going to be hard for anyone to answer this very specific question.
You have to decide what's most important to you when you book your room/make your request. I'm not sure if there are king rooms connected to other rooms. I'm not sure if there are king rooms on the top floor of any building (the only time I stayed in a king room there, it was a HCA room and on the first floor). I'm not sure if there are any connecting rooms on the top floor (though I have stayed in a room with a connecting room on the second floor in Pop). And then you want all that in the 70s building.
AND to top it off, according to this park update from a while back, the 70s buildings courtyard views are 'preferred' locations, so only part of that 'decade' is available to you if you aren't paying for a preferred location.
And if there is ONE or TWO rooms that meet your requirements, that doesn't mean Disney is going to be able to give you those rooms, over a family with 3 young children (I think I read you were traveling with older teens), since that other family really does need to have connecting for basic safety.

I know it's a long shot here I thought I would try. I gave our Disney travel agent the top couple request because I know anything over that we probably wouldnt get. If we dont get a king it's ok the other bed we can use for suitcase and bag storage. lol Actually I have (2) 19 year old boys and a Military son in law 26 yrs old and my daughter 23 yrs old going. So I do have 3 rooms reserved. All for $49.00 a night per room. I do at least want the 19 year olds connected to my room for noise control as they can get pretty loud..
I was on the phone twice with WDW today tying to book at POP. The first time the system was done and after trying for 25 to 30 minutes to get a confirmation # and take my credit card info I was told that I'd have to call back in 2 hours or they would call me later. This finished at 9 am. When I hadn't heard from them by 3:15 I called again and got through right away and asked that since I had to call twice and was on hold so long was there any chance that she could put in for a free upgrade to a king bed. She told me that the values don't have kings only 2 doubles. Now I read this post, which asks about king rooms, so I assume that they do exist. Correct?
I've stayed in an HCA room at Pop with a king bed. This was a couple of years ago, but I can't imagine they've gotten rid of them.
From the official WDW web site:HOWEVER, it's not a paid class of rooms (the two classes at Pop are standard and preferred location), so I don't think they can 'guarantee' a king bed.All rooms have either two double-size beds or one king-size bed, table and chairs, vanity area with sink, and a bathroom. All rooms are non-smoking. Amenities include in-room wall safe, voice mail, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. A crib is available upon request. A mini-fridge is available upon request at a charge. Wheelchair-accessible rooms are available. These rooms are located close to the pool and Guest facilities.

Thanks Cathy for the response. I thought that they had a king size bed option, but figured that the CR must know better than me. She said that the values didn't have kings, they start at the moderates. So, I doubted my memory rather than her knowledge. Glad to hear I'm right, not crazy. We'll ask when we check in if there is any availability or we'll each have our own bed. We've never been to WDW without kids before so it has never been an option. Off topic, but I just called today to book a room for Sunday and they had ones available with the discount code for $64. Must not be busy after this week. We are just going for the one day on Monday to the parks. Drive up Sunday and drive back south 2-1/2 hours after on Monday, but DH wanted a Disney fix, so we're going.
