    April or June?

We're planning another trip (2nd) because I no sooner got back from last April's trip, than I started figuring out PS's and which days to do what next time. My family thinks I am obsessed. My problem is that we have a choice of April 18-26 (Easter!) or June 27-July 5 (4th of July!)Any advice on which week to pick? The weather last April was beautiful - we did have 3-4 afternoons when it rained. Will it be too hot at the end of June? I want to do a water park day this time, I think it would be plenty hot to do that in April, but a monorail driver told us last year that MK had to close 3 days in a row due to crowds from Easter. Are both weeks just ridiculous as far as crowds? I promised my family we would take it easier this time. Go to the parks in the am and then take a break in the afternoon and no running thru the Epcot to get to Test Track. Thanks for your opinions.

    Both times are busy

April and late June are normally very busy...they have upsides and downsides.

If you are staying on Walt Disney Property they won't shut you out...thats a perk of staying on property...they will let you into the parks EVEN if they close to the general public but I have been going several times a year for YEARS and have never been there on a closed to the public day...I don't even wanna think how crowded it must be! UGH!

April will be cooler than June. We were there July 6th this year and HOT whoo hoo...let me tell you! The crowds were tight but not terribly thankfully. They were definitely workable and we used fast pass alot.

My favorite time to go....mid November before the rush of Thanksgiving, and January after New Years rush is over...we normally head down around Jan. 6.

The upside to a busy time of the year...parks are normally open later!

We are going in just a few days...well not a few but very soon...December 17th-27th...BUSY I know but we have been planning to spend Christmas since we got married 11 years ago and we finally decided to up and do it!

    Have a great time!

Been there both times, and on days when the parks closed to the public (but not on site guests). Both times will be crowded, but the parks stay open late. On days they have to close, they are very crowded and fastpass times book up early for the entire day.

Weatherwise, April is better. By mid May it starts getting hot again, and July is so humid the air is thick and you feel like just doing "water" rides to get wet. During the humid months, there is frequently a quick rainstorm late in the day. The parks are open late, which gives you an opportunity to go in early, head back to your hotel pool for mid day, then back to parks at night. The upside is there is no scheduled maintenance during the peak weeks, so most attractions should be running smoothly.

The world is a book. Those who do not travel read only one page.

Each time we have been to WDW in June, we dealt with incredibly heavy downpours and thunderstorms. That kind of weather cuts the local crowds down a bit, but the April weather is so much better, I would choose that month over June.

    APRIL!!!!

I learned the hard way about a visit in June. Oh my gosh, can you say International Tour Groups?! Putting the weather, specifically the 85 - 90 degree heat and rain) aside, I have never, in my life, seen so many people! I can tell you, I will never ever take my family during the summer months again, unless of course I can sit at the pool and drink Margaritas while they do the parks.

I can also tell you, most kids will not have Spring break during your April dates. Have fun! I have 28 days to go to DL!

The last two times I have been to WDW was in mid-April (week before Easter) due to the fact I have to go during the school vacation. The weather both times (in 2000 and 2002) was great. Hot, yet not unbearable- low to mid 80's mostly. I never witnessed the parks filling to capacity during my visits. In fact, I was surprised the parks weren't busier. MK was always the busiest. I went in late June about 16 years ago and all I remember is the intense heat! Good luck!

Like everyone else has said, if you are staying on property you won't have to worry about being shut out of the parks. As far as weather goes, you will have to pick the better of the two evils. April will have the cooler weather, but rain chances will be greater. In the end of June/July the weather is extremely hot, temps around 95 and higher and then add in the humidity, and the heat index can easily hit around 105, but the chances of showers are ones were they will be quick more that likely.

The weather is nice no matter what time you go, I would just have back-up plans if there is bad weather. Enjoy.

I must be crazy!!! All these people running out of a burning building, and here I am running into it. Ahhhh, the life of a firefighter. Isn't it great.
