    Whispering Canyon?

We were thinking about making reservations for breakfast at Whispering Canyon... menus online show the prices to be very reasonable altho the menu date about a year old ... I recently got the 2009 Birnbaum's Dining Guide which has it listed in the $36-60 price category ... can anyone provide me with a recent approx pricing nad if you thought the food was worth it?

    Thanks so much!

We love going there for breakfast. You can get a good meal for around $10-12 bucks per person. They also have an all you can eat "skillet" that is real good and has a little bit of everything.

The search function is like the Force. It may take practice, but the more you use it, the more control you will have over it!

I highly recommend it. Good food, good service, fun fun fun. I was on the meal plan, but I think the all you can eat skillet was about $15-16

I can't imagine spending that much per person at WCC, especially at breakfast. DH and I went there without children for lunch one day and didn't spend more than $50, and that was with an appetizer AND the tip.

The food is really good, though, and I love the atmosphere. Can't wait to go back in a few weeks.

I ate here during the one trip that my family actually came to WDW with me. I'd stayed in the Wilderness Lodge before and there was always noise coming from Whispering Canyon, but it wasn't annoying (for us). It just made us feel left out and wanting to go join in! So we ate there with my family, and it was fun. The food wasn't the greatest, and our waiter was pretty "tame" compared to the other waiters (which was a good thing, in my opinion). But it was fun to watch all the other tables.

We LOVE eating at Whispering Canyon. The food is out of this world and the entertainment is outstanding. This is one we do every time we visit WDW!

We just stayed at the WL in September and ate at WC once for dinner and then the next morning for breakfast. The food and service was pretty good averaged together. I would not make a special trip over to the hotel to eat at the restaurant.

Whispering Canyon is one of my favorite restaurants in WDW, especially for breakfast. I find the food to be consistently good with a nice selection. The prices are reasonable, and definitely not in the $32-60 range per person.

We love WC and make it a part of every trip now. Lunch is a better deal than dinner so we schedule a late lunch, then walk it off in MK afterwards. Dinner that day will just be a snack. The food is okay, but the atmosphere is great. The more you play along, the more fun it gets.

On our last visit, we played along with our server so well that she stepped up her insults and got very loud. We were really having fun with it, but the manager wasn't so he watched our table everytime our server was there. I guess he thought we might be offended or something, but just the opposite. We left our server a huge tip.

I'm considering eating at WC, but I don't know much about it. Can you please describe the "atmosphere". I wasn't aware that they did something special... I will probably be going for dinner.

The wait staff will be loud and obnoxious. They will yell at you for not finishing your food. They will announce to the whole restaurant if you drink too much. They will bring you buckets, yes buckets, of coke if you're a heavy drinker.

It's a little different each time you go depending on the customers and staff. The more you play along, the louder the staff will likely get, and the more that neighbouring tables will also be entertained. If you ask for something, they might just take it from another table (not an empty table either).

They also do "cute" things, like if you ask for ketchup they'll bring 15 bottles and make a big deal out of it. If you're in the mood for it all it can be great fun. If you're tired and want a quiet meal, it can be incredibly annoying!

Don't forget to note the color of soap in the bathrooms. They'll ask!

We have dinner reservations there on Dec 16. This will be fun - I think! My family is really not into the 'play along' thing, they get annoyed/embarrassed at Bubba Gumps. Do you think they will survive WC?

If they get annoyed at Bubba Gumps, they will hate WC. It will just take one wrong word and your dinner could be wrecked. It's a fun atmosphere as long as you are aware of what's going on around you. If you do not have the capacity to play along, then go to Boma (same price, better food).

Just discussed this with my boys. Apparently I am the only one who gets annoyed/embarrassed at Bubba Gumps. They assured me that they will enjoy it and participate. We shall see . . .

You know, it IS their birthday trip (both of their birthdays!). But I promised them I wouldn't tell when I made my reservations. . . maybe I should slip them a note when I get there???

Oh man, I would be in SO much trouble!!! I think I will just play it by ear.

Do it.... Do it..... Do it....
You can blame me, even! (Your internet friend who grew up between Portland and Salem, and has relatives in Battle Ground, too! If they decide to retaliate while I'm in Oregon or SW Washington, I'll just bring my 6'6"+ nephews (yes plural over that size!) with me!)

We ate dinner last night at Whispering Canyon. I had the all-you-can eat BBQ skillet. Wow, talk about a lot of food! Pork Ribs, beef brisket, pulled pork, chicken, mashed potatoes, corn, corn bread, and salad.

    It was good!
