Was anyone at the park Friday night? We live near enough to the park to hear the fireworks and noticed they did not go off at the usual time--9:25 p.m.--but we clearly heard fireworks about 10:05 p.m. Anyone know why they went off so late?

Not sure what you heard, but it definitely wasn't fireworks from the park. We were there and they waited until about 9:45 to cancel the fireworks because of the winds. We then headed over to Fantasmic, but the second show didn't start until 10:30 (the first show would have ended around 9:20-9:25), so it couldn't have been the pyro from that. The Angels offer Big Bang Fridays with a firework show after the game, but I do not know if they were in town last Friday???????
It must have been from Angels stadium. The Angels played the Yankees Fri. nite.

Wow, I thought Fireworks Fridays were a Minor League marketing thing - along with Thirsty Thursdays, Weenie Wendnesdays, etc.

Nope. The D-Backs do Fireworks on Fridays too.
Why do people go on The Amazing Race without bothering to learn how to drive a stick shift?
The A's do fireworks at least 1 Friday a month too.
