Paradise Pier or Doubletree Suite ? Also what are the early morning days/
In a few weeks, I have a stay coming up.
Paradise Pier, or Doubletree Guest Suites, in a 2-room suite.
What should I do? The doubletree is a couple hundred less over the stay too, but of course the ability to walk to your room is nice at PP and not having to go park at regular parking and taking those darn trams all the time from parks to parking lot.
Any thoughts? I stayed at PP couple yeras ago, and it was nice. I had a great view, and my reservation is for the view again.
Also, I know you can go to park early if you stay at hotel on property.
Which days of the week does Disneyland do early entry? Does DCA do early entry too?
Thanks.

"early entry" is now known as Magic Mornings. It's held on the S and T days; Sat, Sun, Tues, and Thurs. It is only for Disneyland; the rides in Fantasyland, Nemo, and usually Buzz. Some have gotten on Space Mtn during MM, but I'm not sure I've seen it open then.
Staying at PPH does give you access to each MM offered during your stay. If this is a short stay and you have 3 or more day hoppers, you'll get one day of MM with your tickets. So if you'll only be there for one MM that's covered by your hoppers anyway, staying onsite for the MMs makes no sense.
I know there are other hotels closer than Doubletree or even PPH that have suites...I think that Desert Inn does, and others? Have you looked into those?

I have a young child so staying on site makes since. If we need to come back in the middle of the day to nap or just relax it is very convenient. Plus, you can't find the Disney magic at any off site hotel.

So many forget about another perk at staying in any of the three Disney Hotlels. That is you can get into CA and onto SOC before the park opens to other guest. They do this by meeting you one hour before the park opens at the enterance to the park from the GC. When we stayed last year for 8 days they had it every day except 1, that we went down for it. You do have to say what you are there for when the man comes or they will send you back to the main enterance. I just told them that I learned about it from Mark when we stayed years ago and that did it we were in. They walk you over to SOC and give you a little lecture about the ride and then you are the first one on the ride, always middle row and usually front seat so it is so worth it, on busy days you just saved a good hour or more. Also, with that ride down, you can run to Screaming or TOT before the crowds are to big on them, saving you even more time.
So many people either do not know about this perk or are not told about it. But on days when DL is not open early this is another perk to use, and it is good for all three DL hotels not just GC.

Thank you! I can never remember which days are Magic Mornings -- now I will.

If you want Magic Mornings with a 3-day park hopper, make sure you purchase it BEFORE you get to the box office...I learned the hard way that 3-day park hoppers purchased at the box office do not offer Magic Mornings
