Pictures [of hotels]
we are tossing around the idea of a WDW vacation next April or May.
I would like to know of a good site to see pictures of the WDW hotels,
and maybe a personal review.
It will be just the hubby and myself, we have never been to WDW and would like some hotel options.
Also, is April or May a good time to go? We are very flexible so if you think going at another time of year is better, Id like to know too!
Thank you!

April is a great time to go. I was there the 3rd week in April and the weather was great highest temp was 83 didn't rain once.Be careful and you don't go too close to Spring break it really gets crowded. Spring break can be a month long considering all schools take theirs at different times. Allow a few weeks before and after Easter.Never have gone in May but I'm sure it starts getting warmer. I have gone the
1st week in June and it was hot. Mid Sept thru Nov is a good time too.
I've stayed at POP, AllStar Sports and Music (value). POP is my favorite love the theme. PO. French Quarter (moderate) is my pick of moderates. It is smaller and has a very relaxing feel. Riverside is larger and more spread out.French Quarter is my pick. I also like the boat transportation to Downtown Disney. Both Riverside and FQ has this. I've never stayed at a Deluxe never wanted to spend that kind of $$$ but I would if I got a good deal..I have stayed a few times at the Hilton in Downtown Disney. It's a nice hotel but it doesn't have that Disney feel plus I didn't care much for their transportation to the park. They drop you off in the middle of the parking lot and they don't pick up too often. That was my experience it could of changed.
Have fun

Go May!
We've been there many times at various times of the year and can say that May is our favorite time. Preferably the first two weeks of May. The reasons are:
- crowds are lower than April; Disney lists May as a lower demand time
- it's always warm enough for pools and water parks
- no real chance of freezing, as in Dec-Jan
- it's not so unbelievably humid (as in June and later)
- there's the Epcot Flower and Garden show
- most everything is open that time of year
If you can afford it, I would highly recommend the Epcot are resorts, like Boardwalk, Beach and Yacht Clubs, etc. We very much enjoy being able to end our busy day by kicking back and relaxing at the room in the late afternoon, then walking over to Epcot for dinner, shopping, and/or the fireworks show.

Also maybe check out hotels.com and travelocity.com, I go there for reviews and pics of hotels when we need one. I think you have to enter in Kissimmee to see the WDW resorts, maybe Lake Buena Vista for some too.

Our last trip to WDW was 18 years ago, we stayed on-property the last week of April-first week of May, and it was already hot and humid. Our next vacation there is targeted for around the first week of March because we prefer cooler weather. If you can afford it I'd also suggest staying at an Epcot area hotel or maybe the Polynesian in the MK area. If it's just the two of you, I say splurge, have fun!

Lost in the Viridian Forest...
I stayed at the French Quarter last July, and I really liked it. We stayed in building 2, which was very close to the pool and the main building. The theming was very nice, and so was the staff. The transportation was not the best, though, considering it shares a bus route with the bigger riverside.
Here's some pictures I took of the French Quarter.
And I just got back from the Polynesian. The Polynesian was great. The trasnportation was extremely convenient, it was lushusly themed, and theres a lot to look at if you like to shop. But if you cant afford it, Caribbean beach is similarly themed. And its the same price as the French Quarter.
Here's
some pictures of the Polynesian I took recently.

We visited Port Orleans Riverside in June and I will tell you that not one picture on the internet (and I looked at MANY sites) did not do justice to just how lovely and relaxing the resort is. It looked very nice online, but in person it was awesome!! Enjoy your planning!!
