Disneyland Scrapbooking Pics
I found this site last year when I was searching for a couple characters that I missed photo ops with, but were a must for the scrapbook. Just thought that I would throw it out there if anyone else might find it useful.

and....for those fellow scrapbookers....does anyone know if they have a 12x12 for 2008 this year? I got one in 2006, but last year was unable to locate one that big. I had to settle for a 4x6 album to just have all the pics in and then re scrap them into a book I bought at a local scrapbook store. =(

Yep, they have a 2008 scrapbook and kit. Now I just need to scrap the pictures to put in it.
Having withdrawls waiting for June to get here!

Here's a thread in the Lounge about scrapbooking in general that discusses Disney Scrapbooks, too.
On June 1, Creative Memories just came out with a new line of Disney themed scrapbooks, pocket page albums, digitial album kits and paper kits. And through July, and I THINK August, you can get a steal on their Mickey punch when you buy it bundled with one of the new paper kits. See the "Bundles" on that page for more information.

Well, you KNOW that is JUST NOT TRUE! A good scrapbook page is one you can look at and smile, and remember the event. I do my scrapbooks for the little ole lady (me) sitting on her porch rocking chair in more than a few years, and that's my definition of a 'good' scrapbook!

My sister once complained that her friends' book looked so much nicer than her book did. Then she went into painful detail about a die cut her friend hand-cut of the Eiffel Tower. It made my sister feel so inferior about her own pages. She went on and on about this paper Eiffel Tower. Finally, when she was done, I looked at her and said "So, what do you remember from the pictures on the page?" She looked at me oddly. "The Eiffel Tower pages. What did the pictures look like. What did they see? How was the trip?"
The point of the book wasn't to tell the story about a DIE CUT. The point of the book is to tell the stories about the pictures and the memories.

I know what you mean...I went to a crop, and there's a lady there who will not use stickers - she uses die cuts from her machines or hand cuts and pieced them all together. It's incredible. I went to a 14 hour crop and she got a two page spread done...they had gone to some Flintstone place...and she hand made all the character die cuts - it really looked incredible, but what I remember most about that two page spread was the die cuts and paper piecings she made. I got something like 40 pages done - which my family was VERY happy about. I am a simple scrapper - I use stickers and die cuts, but my boys and husband love my pages (and so do I)...it's really the pictures it's all about - and journaling of course. My pages aren't ornate or very time intensive, but they're cute and fun and we laugh and smile when we look at it and talk all about the event when those pictures were taken. That's really what it's all about!

If people want to take 14-hours to make two pages, and that makes them happy, more power to them.
You and I are more on the same "page" so to speak (or piles of pages because we're busy getting so much done! LOL)
It bugs me because people hear the stories about the 2-pages per 14-hours scrappers, or see their books, or pictures of their books, and think THAT is what they have to do, or assume that it takes that long to put a book together, or to keep the memories. (That's lots of "ors" isn't it?)
I'm a big advocate of simple pages because 1- I get more pictures on a page
and 2- We get a lot more done and the books into our families' hot little hands!

Yep...I totally agree..I have a friend who gets discouraged when she sees what I do (and I am fairly simple)...I try to tell her - just do it how you want to...even if you just put your pictures on a page and do some journaling with nothing else, you will have preserved those memories...it's whatever you can do (or want to do) - no one is bad at scrapbooking...but everyone is different. And that's a GOOD thing.

Happiness is that smile
For those people who insist they just aren't scrappers...I offer them these options from Creative Memories as an alternative. Many of us have so many photos that the idea of putting them in the tradtional scrapbook format can be overwhelming trying to figure out which ones to 'keep/use' and not...these make things go 'faster' and can still have the journalling to make the stories come alive.
