    Olympic Trials

So...... who's watching? I love the Olympics! I only caught a little but of the gymnastics. I was so bummed. I have been Tivoing the swimming (or the Phelps and Hoff show!) and watching the Track when I can. I can not wait for the Olympics!!!

Why do people go on The Amazing Race without bothering to learn how to drive a stick shift?

I love Synchronized Swimming, and will rearrange my schedule so I don't miss any of it.

A few local swimmers have qualified for Beijing in the last week or so, and though I don't know them, I'll be looking for them.

I'm really excited for the Olympics. I kind of wish that I could have made the trek to China this year but it wasn't in the "cards." (God had a different plan for our family this summer).

I was excited to hear that NBC will be hosting a lot of video on their Olympic web site this year. They are testing it out to see the response. I'm very happy that I can find something other than swimming, gymnastics, track & field and basketball. I am one of those wierd people who like to see those activities that are not popular here in the US.

We've Tivo'ed all the swimming and my kids have watched every minute of it, I've watch about half. My 9 year old can tell you who's qualified in every event, who's broken what records, etc. she's a junkie. She happens to be swimming at her first 50 meter meet this weekend and is excited to be swimming the same distances as them, albeit much slower.

Awww..... good luck to her!! I always hated Long Course. Swimming it and coaching it. I am not sure why! I could never convert the times in my head!

She did ok. Made B times in both the 50M breast and free, not bad for having just aged up to 9/10. Fly and back were not pretty but she made it thru them.

I don't like the summer olympics nearly as much as winter, but I do enjoy swimming, diving, and gymnastics. Probably won't watch anything other than that.

Planning for a trip in summer 2013! That will be 3 years since I've been, very excited to see all the newness

Olympics junkie here, though I haven't been watching much of the trials. Mom and I will be watching every bit of coverage we can during the games -- my favorites are swimming, diving, synchro (all of which I've done in competition albeit not very well), and gymnastics -- but happy to watch just about everything.

I'm so impressed with Dara Torres. She's a year older than I -- and I remember watching her in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics.

Total Olympics junkie. I find it hillarious that I will watch events on the Olympics I would never watch if it were on as a sport during the regular year - like track and field. I'd never watch a meet on ESPN - but its the Olympics! Man! Gotta watch!

Its just like when they used to show the Eco Challenge. My brother and I would be glued to the set every year -- watching other people accomplish such great feats, you start to think maybe you can be just a little bit better at things in your own life.

I haven't been watching the trials, but I am very anxiously awaiting the start of the Games next month.

My brother and I are what you might call - um - physically challenged, but we would watch the Eco Challenge and then we'd get a team together - every year. After our first hike or so, we'd decide to do the Eco Challenge the next next year... LOL!
