Not enough prints of Spirited Away?

When I filed a complaint with the Wallace Theaters (who pretty much have a stranglehold over the theaters on the Big Island for the most part) that they didn't bring Spirited Away! to this island, I received this e-mail a few days later.

"Thank you for your message. Disney only released a limited amount of prints for Spirited Away. We requested prints from Hawaii, but were turned down."

The snip contained David's theory that Disney was deliberately stunting "Spirited Away" in favor of "Tuck Everlasting." I dunno about that, but I don't like hearing that theaters that want "Spirited Away" can't get it!

Yeah, as I mentioned in another thread, Spirited Away is currently playing on exacly ONE screen here in Portland.

I found out the hard way that you have to get there VERY early to get tickets...
