I have a friend who has severe rheumatoid arthritis and has problems standing/walking for long periods of time. I really want to take her on a special bday trip to Disneyland as a surprise. I wanted to know if she would qualify for a GAC... would I have to ask her to bring a doctor's note? I don't want to tip her off, either, but I would rather be safe than sorry.

She has been too "proud" to rent a wheelchair or ECV, so she hasn't been in ages.

I was searching for GAC/DL guidelines, but the comments sections on those blog posts leave me dismayed a bit by City Hall CMs sassing, giving attitude, or the third degree about the nature of the disability.

Any advice, suggestions, info?
