2013 Expedition Everest Challenge – May 4, 2013

I’m currently waiting to hear from runDisney on the official registration opening date. Hopefully I’ll have an update next week.

2013 Princess Half Marathon – Sunday February 24, 2013 @ 5:35 a.m.

Registration opened July 10th, 2012

We’re open for business and still awaiting the first runDisney registration update. It took 3 months last year before registration bumped over 50%; let’s hope the 5th anniversary of the Princess Half Marathon will move things along much quicker this time.

Registration opened June 12, 2012

As of July 16th, runDisney is reporting registration for the 2013 Never Land 5k has reached 56%. It is moving MUCH faster than in 2012 when it took 5 months, 25 days to reach the same milestone! Maybe moving from a night race to early morning wasn’t such a bad idea.

2012 event sellout time to beat: 9 months, 1 day

2013 current registration duration as of July 17th: 1 month, 6 days

I would have to guess that the recently announced runDisney / Runner’s World VIP Challenge hasn’t really sped up marathon weekend registration although we’re still way ahead of last year’s pace. As of July 16th, runDisney is reporting the by-now typical 1% increase for the week putting registration for the Goofy at 86%.

2012 event sellout time to beat: 9 months, 5 days

Looks like that final price increase will come into play on July 18th (get ready to fork out an extra $25) but runDisney is reporting a heck of a good registration jump from 86% to 92% in just one week so we can’t be too far off from calling this one baked!

2012 Disney’s Happy Haunted 5k Trail Run – Saturday September 29, 2012 @ 7:30 a.m.

Registration opened February 14, 2012

Talk about slooooow registration. runDisney is reporting that registration for the 2012 Disney’s Happy Haunted 5k Trail Run has reached 58% capacity. It took a month to move 2%. Makes you wonder if runDisney is a bit worried about this one. Is it the venue (the ESPN Sports Complex) or the idea of a morning trail run that is holding back registration? Or, with the half marathon selling out so quickly, have potential participants forgotten about the 5k…?

2012 current registration duration as of July 17th: 5 months, 4 days

2012 Disney Villians Hollywood Bash – September 29, 2012 @ 10:30 p.m. to September 30, 2012 @ 4:00 a.m.

One quick update on the Wine & Dine Half Marathon; we're up to 94% capacity. Looks like it's moving up 1% a day but we all know how fast that can change. If you're still thinking about giving the Wine & Dine Half Marathon a try (or returning for another round), now is the time go shell out the $$$ and register!

    Good Friday morning everyone!

runDisney has already posted a Wine & Dine Half Marathon registration update for us this morning. As of 6:30 a.m. PDT/ 9:30 a.m. EDT the 2012 Wine & Dine Half Marathon has reached 95% capacity. The question is: will it make it through the weekend or will it sell out before our Monday recap? Rock n Roll Chicago is this weekend and I've already talked to several people who are planning on registering for the W & D at the RnR expo. Could make for a fun weekend.

I'll be watching the numbers throughout the day and will post an update if there is any further movement in registration capacity.

Sounds like the participants at Rock n Roll Chicago had a nice runDisney registration surprise at the expo this weekend. Apparently those pesky active.com registration fees were waived AND runDisney marathon and half marathon costs were rolled back to opening prices for anyone registering at the runDisney booth. One of my running peeps, who just signed up for both Wine & Dine and Goofy, said the booth was hopping with runners and walkers trying to get in on the deals. If it was as busy as she reported, expect some interesting capacity number changes in our Monday By the Numbers update!
