Two Epcot acts are no more

Rate this Entry
Two live entertainment acts are no more, victims of last-minute budget cuts.

Orisi Risi and Spelmann's Gledje have ceased performances at the park. I was particularly disappointed at the departure of Orisi Risi, as I had hoped to interview them for the MouseStation Podcast to help raise their profile and bring more people to their shows.

One other change is that they have built a show around Pam Brody at the Rose and Crown. So while Pam's staying, her show will be a bit different.

Here's hoping that they'll find a way to bring these acts back.

I wish I could say I'll miss these acts, but unfortunately I don't know them by name. What were they and where did they perform?

Orisi Risi was the storytelling duo that presided over the drum circle at the Outpost, while Spelmann's Gledje performed music at Norway.

PAM BRODY is what WALT wanted in a castmember .the release of leon gregory & jay wethington & now MESSING with pam is a perfect example of management not having a clue!!!

Then again, it's not like we won't see Spelmann's Gledje again. The same group performs as "Fiddler's Joy" in Canada, and occasionally as "Hometown Jamboree" in the American Adventure.

The odd part is how the schedule sometimes has them playing what appear to be overlapping sets.

What other Epcot acts have been cut in recent years? The only other one I can think of is Imaginum. If they ever let Miyuki go, it'd be war.
