Virtual Walt Disney World now open on Google Earth

Don't have time to go to Walt Disney World but need that park fix? Now you can go to the parks without leaving your house. Disney and Google have teamed up to present Walt Disney World in 3-D on Google Earth.

You can "walk" through stunningly realistic recreations of the Disney parks & resorts, and click on handy links to get more information, see attraction videos and more.

Go to http://www.disneyworld.com/3dparks to download the required version 4.3 of Google Earth. After installing the software and starting it up, search for "Disney World", click the gold mouse ears, click "Show Disney World in 3D" and you're in!

    This was amazing. For someone who has not been to the world for many years, and is busy trying to work out when they will take the family, this is a great resource. It helps in giving an indication of travel distances, and to orientate the various photos that you see. I love that everything is to scale, and how you can actually see some of the resorts from various part of MK. The size and location of the trees seems to be also very acurate as I have looked as some of the various rooms at the poly, and you can work out which rooms have an unrestricted view of the castle.

    Highly recommend this to everyone, although you may have to be patient as it is very power hungry.
