The Royal Coronation and Princess Storytelling shows will be returning to Disneyland's Princess Fantasy Faire for the summer. The tentative dates for the revival are from some time in June until August 15.

Originally part of the “Year of a Million Dreams” promotion, the two shows—though popular—were discontinued to save money.

A cast member shared, "Some TDA managers were giving a tour of the Park to a big honcho. He questioned why the stage was...

Pulling the Plug on Frontierland's Koi Ponds of America

Posted 03-04-2010 at 10:32 AM by David Koenig (Realityland's David Koenig)

The waterway that connects Disneyland's Jungle Cruise to the Castle Moat has been tarped over again, hopefully to alleviate the construction "improvements" that destroyed the once-rustic riverbanks.

Originally, the inlet was drained and cleaned, then construction crews built a new guest-proof bridge at the entrance of Frontierland. While the river was dry, it was given a fresh coat of concrete. Unfortunately, to the dismay of WDI's show quality control team, the waterway now resembles...

Posted 02-05-2010 at 02:30 PM by David Koenig (Realityland's David Koenig)

It stemmed from the first official visit to the resort by Tom Staggs, who a few weeks ago swapped titles with Jay Rasulo to become the new chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts.

On Monday, the day before Staggs was to arrive, managers ordered stockrooms, workshops and offices to be cleaned, as they hurriedly tried...

Princess Plays Leapfrog

Posted 01-25-2010 at 03:46 PM by David Koenig (Realityland's David Koenig)

An Entertainment cast member fills us in on the latest character changes at the Disneyland Resort:

"On February 1st, the Princess Tiana face character will be moved to the Princess Fantasy Faire in Fantasyland. Prince Naveen will join the other princes in no-mans land and only appear once in awhile.

"At the Faire, there will be two casualties from the move. Mulan will now be at Hollywood Backlot at DCA, and Jasmine at Aladdin’s Oasis in Adventureland.
