Reservations for Bay Lake Tower and Treehouse Villas open on Sunday!

With the two new Disney Vacation Club resorts ready to come online, reservations will open for booking by resort owners on Sunday, February 8, with other DVC members able to book on Sunday, February 22.

Bay Lake Tower is pushing for an August 4 estimated opening date, while the Treehouse Villas at the Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa are estimated to open as early as June or July.

Those who have purchased ownership interests in Bay Lake Tower can start booking their reservations...

Disney Parks & Resorts offers buyouts to 619 executives throughout the company

On Wednesday, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts announced a Voluntary Separation Plan (VSP) for domestic Parks and Resorts executives to achieve further reductions in the cost of running the company's massive theme parks business.

Bay Lake Tower AND Treehouse Villas Now Both Official!

In a new press release, Disney has announced both Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort and the Treehouse Villas at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa!

The Treehouse Villas are expected to come online summer 2009, while Bay Lake Tower will open fall 2009.

DVC members get first crack at Bay Lake Tower, starting September 21, while the Treehouse Villas will become available at a later date.

Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort is one step closer

While doing my weekly check of the Orange County Comptroller's site, I happened to come across the latest paperwork for that round building next to Disney's Contemporary Resort that still hasn't been officially confirmed (by Disney, at least) as the next DVC resort on the Walt Disney World property. The paperwork is for Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, a Leasehold Condominium. The paperwork also says that Bay Lake Tower will be run by the Disney Vacation Club Management Company....

Reservations for Kidani Village to open August 10!

The Kidani Village annex for Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas will be available for stays beginning on May 1, 2009. DVC members with the Animal Kingdom Villas as their home resort can start making reservations on August 10. If there is any availability remaining, those reservations will become available to all members once the 7-month window opens.

Of course reservations at Jambo House (the existing main Animal Kingdom Lodge building) will continue to be available.
