Special Imagineering panel on May 1 for Studios' 20th anniversary

If you'll be at Disney's Hollywood Studios on May 1, you'll want to go to the Premiere Theater at the Streets of America Backlot for a special presentation at 9:00 a.m. and again at 10:45 a.m. (two sessions, same basic content).

Three representatives from Walt Disney Imagineering will speak about the history of Disney's Hollywood Studios. The presenters include:

Disney Parks & Resorts offers buyouts to 619 executives throughout the company

On Wednesday, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts announced a Voluntary Separation Plan (VSP) for domestic Parks and Resorts executives to achieve further reductions in the cost of running the company's massive theme parks business.

In a statement regarding the offering, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Executive Vice President for Worldwide Public Affairs Leslie Goodman said that "[t]his immediate action is designed to allow us to effectively manage our business while we continue to deliver...

Kim Possible Adventure to debut January 28

The Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure will officially launch on January 28, according to the Twitter feed of Disney PR rep Leanne Jakubowski. The much-anticipated new interactive attraction will give guests a new way to look at Epcot's World Showcase. We got an inside look at the attraction from Imagineer Janette Lomboy-Russo on MouseStation Episode 253.

Kim Possible is finally officially coming to Epcot at Walt Disney World!

After many months of speculation and monitoring of construction permits and kiosk installation, fans of the popular Disney Channel animated series Disney’s Kim Possible will finally get to join Team Possible in late 2008, when Disney’s Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure will officially join the entertainment lineup at Walt Disney World' Epcot.

Imagineering's World Science Festival presentation may not be the last

Walt Disney Imagineering is aware that many have been asking for a presentation like "The Science of Imagineering" that was given at the World Science Festival, and they are in discussions with the WSF about other similar opportunities.
