Last Call for Toy Store

Never one to bypass a $ale$ opportunity, Disneyland management had intended to keep The Small World Toy Store open during It's a Small World's 11-month rehab, hoping to catch the eyes—and wallets—of families on their way to and from the Princess Fantasy Faire and Mickey's Toontown.
Alas, says one cast member, "The store's profits have dropped like a rock with the attraction's rehab."
The shop, located at the ride's exit, is to be shuttered after April 13. Expect it to reopen when the...

Second Skipper Show Added

Hot on the heels of its earliest sell-out yet, this Sunday's Skipper Stand-Up Show has added a second performance.
All tickets are gone for the 7 p.m. performance, featuring past and present Jungle Cruise skippers doing stand-up comedy April 6 at the Maverick Theater in Fullerton, Ca.
So, a second show has been added that night for 9:30 p.m. Tickets are still just $10. See SkipperStandUp.com for reservations and more info.
Considering skippers usually lead about 40 trips a day...

Carrousel: Soft Reopening

Yesterday, April 2, a freshly-spruced-up King Arthur Carrousel had a soft opening following a near-seven week refurbishment–its most extensive in five years. The rehab is officially scheduled to last until tomorrow.

In addition to a full refinishing, work reportedly was also performed on Doubloon, the gold-toothed horse, whose crankshaft (according to one cast member) cracked under the weight of one portly passenger.
