From a data-nerd perspective it's been fun to watch all the races except for one sell out in record time.

The only runDisney event that seems to be running slower for registration this year is the 2013 Tower of Terror 10 Miler. In 2012 it sold out in 2 months, 7 days and then opened for another 14 days of Wait List registration. So far in 2013, it's been 3 months, 5 days and we're still only at 81% capacity.

To be totally fair, it would be nice to have actual capacity numbers so we can more accurately call out trending but for now, we'll just go with dates.

Yet if Disney knows that someone COULD get hurt and does nothing to prevent it, even if its totally the other party's fault, it's negligence on Disney and a big lawsuit for the other party. It's the American way after all. I don't need to watch out for my own well being, you do. And if I get hurt, it's your fault, not mine that I didn't see I was walking off a ledge.

I told remember a real TSI, as mentioned above. Where it was fun & not just a dusty place to walk around.

I can't blame Disney. I blame today's all-American litigious culture. Not that I want anyone to be hurt. But suing for damages is another form of "win big" lottery to many.

Why not just tear down all of Disneyland and put in a large theater with special chairs and virtual reality glasses. You could program it so you would always get to do what you want, when you want in total safety. Every visit would be the perfect one. No waiting in lines. No closed rides. No lawsuits or safety violations
    No fun.

PS - I remember TSI as a child back when there was a teeter-totter rock that really teetered and a merry-go-round rock that turned, both on top of a bigger rock with out safety rails. A fort you could climb up in and "shoot" rifles at the people on the shore across the river or the passing canoes. Running around a getting wet on the pontoon bridge. Fun times. It would be a real shame if they had to remove the tree house, the last fun thing on the island.

Steph, you make a great point. If runDisney says runners cannot get regular C2C for WDW Half/Tinker Bell *AND* a pink C2C for Tink/Princess, I would be OK with that. I do think they need to clarify things, though. I realize a medal is "just" a medal, but it affects people's vacation plans, travel budgets, and all sorts of things.

You should be able to earn both in a calendar year in my opinion, however you shouldn't be able to double count an event. Therefore you would have to do WDW full or half marathon plus Wine & Dine half for the traditional C2C and the Tinker Bell and Princess for the pink C2C.

You hit the issue perfectly. Think of how Competitor runs the Rock n Roll events. You earn the Pacific Peaks medal for completing both RnR Portland and RnR Seattle but you can't earn it with any other race combo. You can, however, use PDX and SEA to earn other challenge medals such as Grand Slam. Pretty simple.

runDisney needs to realize that there are many of us who are planning on doing WDW, Tink, and Princess especially those who have legacy in Princess or are going for legacy at Tink. In my humble opinion, it would really be a poor business decision to withhold the pink C2C medal from those who are making the effort to participate in them all.

    Speaking of bilingual shows...

Back in December in San Francisco when Disney hosted the Christmas tree lighting at pier 39, with the fan five doing various songs and dances before the tree was lighted. The biggest cheer for anything was when they began Feliz Navidad.

Bigger than cheers for Carsland, Disneyland, and Mickey Mouse!
