This is just a short clip from tonight's premiere of the new Fantasmic! dragon so you can all see her debut and experience the crowd reaction. Unfortunately the media section was directly in the path of the overspray from the mist screens, and my camera lens got soaked just in time for the dragon's grand entrance, but Mox, seated in a different section, got a great shot.

(Just a note, this is JUST the dragon sequence. After all, you've all seen the rest of the show before, right?)

There was no second show tonight, and we haven't heard definitively one way or the other if there will be a second show tomorrow. I would expect the 8:15 show to be super busy, especially now that the dragon has finally made a public debut.

One note - the dragon did not breathe fire tonight, and they don't yet know why. As we were leaving, we heard the techs say something like "we'll wait until the park is clear, then get in there and see why she didn't fire."

Thanks to Mox for the video, and Tony for processing it so quickly.

Update: We have a handful of photos from tonight's debut to share. Thank you to reader Stephen Kiskamp for sharing these pictures!

Probably one of the few times that a villain has been cheered for! Go Murphy!
