  1. Walt Disney World Monorails crash, killing one

    At approximately 2:00 this morning, Monorail Pink collided with Monorail Purple at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC), killing Austin Wuennenberg, 21, the pilot of Monorail Purple. The pilot of Monorail Pink was injured in the accident, but the six park guests aboard Monorail Purple were not injured.

  2. Walt Disney World to test out new Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party

    Apparently, Disney will be testing a new Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party in the Magic Kingdom starting on Tuesday.

    The test will run from June 23 through Saturday, August 29, "near" the Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station. Our guess is that it probably will be in the Noodle Station's lower seating area and possibly the middle level, as well.   3. It's finally happened! Online dining reservations at Walt Disney World!

    That's right, Walt Disney World has finally opened up online Advance Dining Reservations (ADRs) to the general public following a successful trial with travel agents. Go to http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/restaurants/ to view all restaurants and make your reservations.

    While this is now available, don't expect to grab a prime dinner seating for Le Cellier less than 90 days out (or 90 + 10). The busy restaurants still book up quickly. We're uncertain as of yet what time the booking ...
  4. Walt Disney World Free Dining Plan booking window extended to July 26!

    NOTE: This blog entry has been updated to correctly portray the new offer. Apparently, I was having difficulty last night in processing dates and terminology. My apologies to anyone who may have been confused.

    Disney has extended the booking window for the free dining package to run through July 26. The offer is still available most nights from August 21 through October 3.

  5. Special Imagineering panel on May 1 for Studios' 20th anniversary

    If you'll be at Disney's Hollywood Studios on May 1, you'll want to go to the Premiere Theater at the Streets of America Backlot for a special presentation at 9:00 a.m. and again at 10:45 a.m. (two sessions, same basic content).
