  1. Is the Walt Disney World Moms Panel Looking For You?

For the sixth year, the Walt Disney World Moms Panel is conducting a search to find moms (and dads) for next year's panel. Members of the panel participate in Disney's online forum, answering questions about planning a Disney trip.

Note that, while the panel says "moms" and "dads," you don't necessarily have to have kids to be a member. You just need to have good Disney planning skills and spend a lot of time helping people to plan their own vacations.

    Last year, the ...
  2. Parks & Resorts presentation at D23 Expo provides new details about known projects

In a session that showed off Disney Parks & Resorts Chairman Tom Staggs' sense of humor and comfort in his new position, the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts presentation at the D23 Expo featured more details about some of the projects that we've already heard about, but no breaking news about new projects. This reorganization of the Parks & Resorts division follows the November 2005 shakeup where then-Parks & ...

I just got an email from Jim Korkis, known here at MousePlanet since May 2006 under his secret identity of Wade Sampson (see "Wade Sampson's Last Column" for his reveal, ripping off the mask).

As Jim put it, "Apparently, there was such a flurry of interest in the book that Amazon is selling it TODAY instead of Oct. 3...and even offering overnight shipping..."

If you want to get your own copy of "The Vault of Walt", go to Amazon.com now. Add something else to your order ...
  5. Disneyland prices take a hike

The Disneyland Resort has announced its annual price hike, shifting the days slightly to announce on a Tuesday with an effective date of Thursday, instead of the Friday/Sunday dates used recently. The cost of a one-day, one-park ticket is now $76 for adults and $68 for children ages 3-9. The new prices are effective this Thursday, August 5.

A new pass type, the two-day, single park pass, gets a price tag $10 less than the two-day Parkhopper pass.

    Annual passports ...
