  1. Dumbo Double Dare Training - Week Fourteen

"Remember, the feeling you get from a good run is far better than the feeling you get from sitting around wishing you were running." - Sarah Condor, Runner/Author

We’re t-minus 30 days until the Disneyland Half Marathon weekend – can you believe the Dumbo Double Dare is almost here? Over the remaining few weeks, we’ll take a look at things to consider as you prepare yourself pre-race, during the race, and post-race. This week we’ll start by looking at three pre-race preparation ...
  2. Dumbo Double Dare Training - Week Nine

Ping. Buzz. Ping. Ping. Ping. Even over the noise of thousands of runners, the unmistakable sound of interval timing devices could be heard during the Rock n Roll Seattle Half Marathon last Saturday. As evidenced by the number of users in the crowd, Jeff Galloway hit on the right idea when he introduced his run/walk/run program.

While I did not have a chance to personally visit Disneyland to see the Space Shuttle Endeavour's flyover last week, one of my dear friends did have the thrill of being there. Here is his eyewitness report - it sounds like it was an incredible experience and one to be remembered.

Ladies & Gentlemen, boys and girls, turn your attention high above the skies...

For those of us old enough to remember the introduction to Disneyland’s fireworks (until 2000),

  5. By the Numbers - September 10, 2012

All I can say is ‘wow’. The speed in which all the runDisney events are selling out this year must have the pencils at Disney Corporate turning cartwheels. Even with the increased entry fees as well as the addition of more runners (25k are signed up for the marathon alone!), the demand has been pretty incredible. Let’s take a look at all the events and see what remains open and what has officially called ‘done’.

One note before the update. Race numbers and waivers are available for ...
