  1. runDisney races are now BOYM - Bring your own Mylar

runDisney has implemented a new policy at their races - mylar blankets (the ones given post-race to prevent loss of body temp) will no longer be provided to race participants with two exceptions. One - if you buy a massage, you get a blanket. Two - if you are injured during the race you may get a blanket (not guaranteed). Wow... how cheap can you get?

This was especially interesting after the WDW Marathon where it was cool and rainy which sent race finishers on a hunt for a mylar. ...
  2. Do I look Dopey to you...?

Before you answer that question, let me explain. Some of you may remember last year when I started training for my first full marathon. 4. By the Numbers - September 10, 2012

All I can say is ‘wow’. The speed in which all the runDisney events are selling out this year must have the pencils at Disney Corporate turning cartwheels. Even with the increased entry fees as well as the addition of more runners (25k are signed up for the marathon alone!), the demand has been pretty incredible. Let’s take a look at all the events and see what remains open and what has officially called ‘done’.

One note before the update. Race numbers and waivers are available for ...
  5. By the Numbers - September 4, 2012

Welcome to the week after the 2012 Disneyland Half Marathon! As expected, there was major movement on the 2013 Walt Disney World events (especially after seeing the marathon medal in person - wow...). Not much else on any of the other runDisney events so this report will be short and sweet!
