Walt Disney World to test out new Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party

Apparently, Disney will be testing a new Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party in the Magic Kingdom starting on Tuesday.

The test will run from June 23 through Saturday, August 29, "near" the Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station. Our guess is that it probably will be in the Noodle Station's lower seating area and possibly the middle level, as well. There's really no other area that can accommodate the 160 people (maximum) that the party will allow aside from the smoking area, which would...

It's finally happened! Online dining reservations at Walt Disney World!

That's right, Walt Disney World has finally opened up online Advance Dining Reservations (ADRs) to the general public following a successful trial with travel agents. Go to http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/restaurants/ to view all restaurants and make your reservations.

While this is now available, don't expect to grab a prime dinner seating for Le Cellier less than 90 days out (or 90 + 10). The busy restaurants still book up quickly. We're uncertain as of yet what time the booking...

Walt Disney World Free Dining Plan booking window extended to July 26!

NOTE: This blog entry has been updated to correctly portray the new offer. Apparently, I was having difficulty last night in processing dates and terminology. My apologies to anyone who may have been confused.

Disney has extended the booking window for the free dining package to run through July 26. The offer is still available most nights from August 21 through October 3.

Sample five-night pricing for a sample family of four (two adults, a junior and a child) starts...

MouseStation Special Report: Bomb Scare at Disney Cruise Line Terminal

Yesterday, May 21, there was a bomb scare at the Disney Cruise Line terminal at Port Canaveral. MouseStation Podcast co-host Mike Demopoulos was on board for a tour at the time.

I was able to interview Mike by phone last night, and we've posted a MouseStation Special Report this morning. Please listen to the show for more on the incident.

Special Imagineering panel on May 1 for Studios' 20th anniversary

If you'll be at Disney's Hollywood Studios on May 1, you'll want to go to the Premiere Theater at the Streets of America Backlot for a special presentation at 9:00 a.m. and again at 10:45 a.m. (two sessions, same basic content).

Three representatives from Walt Disney Imagineering will speak about the history of Disney's Hollywood Studios. The presenters include:

  • Eric Jacobson, Senior Vice President, Creative Development
