Anyone know if any of the all star resorts have a business center of any type (i know they're value resorts, so i doubt it). I have a business and I only need the computer for one night for less than one hour. I don't want to pay for a whole day of internet!!! How much is a day of internet, anyways? anyone know?

One day's connection in your room (not wireless) is either $9.95 or $10.95 (can't remember which). They do provide an ethernet cable in all rooms.

If you are willing to be slowed down, can someone use a dial up connection if they want/need to? We're trying to decide if it's worth it to bring the lap top for our 12 day trip to just check in from time to time, but not thinking we'd pay the $10/day rate to do so. Or does POR have a business center where someone can log in for a few minutes at a time if needed? Thanks!

POR does not have a business center but you can use dial-up if you so desire. I have done that in the past and it works fine.

There is a charge for local (and probably toll-free) calls, though. Not sure what it is, but even dial up might not be totally free.

I had heard somewhere that local calls were now free from Disney hotel rooms. Can someone confirm or deny?

Its not totally free. It cost me 75 cents to access my companys toll free access line. But for a few minutes, a lot cheaper than $10. :)
