Has anyone stayed here recently? We saw it the last time we were down and thougth we would give it a try. Any thoughts? It is between Fairfield and Best Western Park Place Inn.
Thanks!

It's a nice hotel with very nice bedding. The Park Place is closer to the park but the Fairfield is more comfy.

I stayed there once a few years ago. It was fine. The pool was a bit small for the size of the place, but the beds were comfortable and it was very clean. No continental breakfast or any real perks. And the location is pretty much the same as the Hojo's, so I prefer Hojo's over FFI. But Not a bad place at all...

We have stayed at the Fairfield Inn a few times. The rooms are standard but I don't mean that in a bad way, if that makes sense. I second the comfy beds here as well! lol

We have only stayed in a King room, but I think all of them have a tiny pull out sofa in them. You have a fridge and coffee maker. There is a little food area on the 3rd floor that has a Pizza Hut and a little counter that sells sandwiches, snacks, etc. The elevators can be a little slow, but everything seems slow when you're trying to make it to the park lol.

I just posted a review in the review area mentioned above. I'd stay there again. The rooms were clean and spacious, the beds super comfy and the walk to Disneyland very easy. Before booking, I was a bit apprehensive because I hadn't seen many reviews about the property. I'm glad I didn't let that stop me.

I would think from its size, that this place would have a decent view of Disneyland...has anyone found that to be true?

I've stayed at the Fairfield Inn several times. We LOVE it there! Very easy walk to the park and you can take a break in the middle of the day.

Depending on what floor you are on and which direction your room faces, you can get some views of the fireworks. If you are not staying on one of those high floors or if your view is away from the park, you can walk to a higher floor when you hear the fireworks. One evening after the park had closed, we heard the noise of fireworks and walked out of our room to see a pretty spectacular display. They must have been testing new fireworks or had special guests after the park closed.

I have Marriott points to use and the Fairfield Inn is coming up as available 20June for 4 nights. On a map it looks pretty close - but can anyone give me the real low down, how far it is to the park entrance, I have only ever stayed at Disney property so a comparison to PPH or DLH in terms of diantance and 'niceness' would be cool.

I have not stayed at the Fairfield Inn, so I can only speak to its location. It is on Harbor Blvd., just north of the crosswalk to the resort. There are only a few other motels closer.

It is about the same distance as the DLH or PPH to the main entry gates. Maybe even closer if you put a pedometer on the walk. If you have rewards points to use, it truly looks like a great place. The pool looks lovely, they have an on-site little marketplace for snacks and a pizza hut. Free internet and parking! And it's right next to Mimi's which is a good restaurant. I would say "go for it"!!!:)

I stayed at the Fairfield Inn for 4 nights about a year ago. I was very pleased with the hotel. It's quite close. Right next door to the McDonald's on Harbor if that helps you visualize it. I liked the convenience of that, as well as the on-site coffee shop and Pizza Hut. I found the beds to be a little hard, but I think I heard that they have upgraded the beds to pillowtops. It's set far back on the lot so it has a bit of a secluded feeling. I will definately stay there again. Enjoy!!

We LOVE the Fairfield Inn! We've stayed there a few times and we would NOT stay anywhere else!! For convenience, it truly can not be beat. It's a very short walk to the entrance of DLR. From there you walk through the parking lot, then to the area where they check your bags, then you're in line. For us, it's a less than 10-min leisurely walk, door-to-door. By "door", I mean where you are actually standing in line waiting for the park to open.

We like to drop by McDonald's on the way out of the hotel (shares the same parking lot), buy some breakfast, walk to DLR, then eat our breakfast while standing in line.

Going back to the hotel is such a pleasure, too. You can easily take a break during the day to rest up. And if various family members have differing energy levels, you can just divide up and meet back at the hotel.

Highly recommended!

Wow - thanks for taking the time to share your experiences - the Fairfield sound like it could be a good choice, so DD (15) and I will be jetting over to 'Sunny Southern California' from cold, windy England in June for a bit of warmth and Disney Magic.:)

We will be staying there the first week of June so I am glad to hear good things about it. My kids love the idea of Pizza Hut in the hotel and McDonalds right outside, lol, lol. Every review I have read say they have the best beds in all of Disneyland. I cant wait to find out.

DD (8) and I stayed there in April. I have never stayed on property before, so I can't compare distance. But from experience of walking from the gates to DLH through Downtown Disney, I think Fairfield is MUCH closer. Rooms were spacious too and LOVED the bed! Will definitely stay there again.
