Westward Bound: Disney Magic Gets Ready for a FUNtastical Summer in the Mexican Riviera
CELEBRATION, Fla. – The cast and crew of the Disney Magic are hard at work conjuring magical experiences for the Disney Cruise Line ship’s return to the West Coast and a season of seven-night cruises to the Mexican Riviera. Brand new shore excursions exclusive to Disney Cruise Line, enhanced entertainment offerings and themed youth activities guarantee a summer of fun for guests sailing aboard the Disney Magic. Here is a glimpse at what’s in store: Original Shore Excursions Available exclusively to guests sailing on Disney Cruise Line, the West Coast Signature Adventure Collection offers a luxurious repertoire of fun-filled shore excursions. These tantalizing adventures offer an intimate way to explore the sights of the Mexican Riviera. Some of the highlights include:

The Villa at Caletas in Puerto Vallarta
Las Caletas is, purely and simply, Mexico’s answer to paradise . . . guests board a private speedboat that whisks them to a secluded oasis only accessible by sea. They have exclusive use of a small villa with commanding views over the bay and beaches. Hosts are available to assist in creating a relaxing and enjoyable stay as guests enjoy the snorkeling and kayak activities, take a relaxing snooze in a hammock or laze in a private Jacuzzi.
Waterfall and Hot Springs Tour
Guests embark on a private vehicle to the East Cape Region in Cabo San Lucas. Once there, they take a short hike to a beautiful waterfall where they can take a dip in the cool waters and marvel at the sandy shores gleaming with gold pyrite. Guests continue to hot mineral springs and melt their cares away with a spa treatment created by Mother Nature, then cool off in an adjacent mountain stream.
Ultimate Luxury Sail and Snorkel
Guests live the luxury experience of sailing aboard an exclusive hand-made 74-foot Turkish schooner in Cabo San Lucas. A dedicated crew of six pampers guests with cocktails, wines and other delights. This excursion features snorkeling, kayaking and swimming opportunities as well as breathtaking vistas of rocky bluffs, pristine golden beaches and tranquil seaside coves. For an additional cost, guests may also choose to have a massage by the onboard massage therapist.

Entertainment
Even the world famous Disney Characters are getting in the spirit of the Mexican Riviera with lively entertainment enhancements, including:
Minnie’s Fiesta Grande
Minnie is getting ready to say “todos a bailar” with a brand new sail-away celebration as the Disney Magic departs the port of Mazatlan. Guests join Minnie and her pals for Minnie’s Fiesta Grande, a fun filled party celebrating the magic, music and culture of Mexico.
Don’t Forget to Wear Your Sombrero
Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and the gang are joining in the fun of the Mexican Riviera cruises by donning special garments inspired by the charm and traditions of Mexico. Mickey and his pals make appearances and pose for photos throughout the sailings.

Youth Activities
Children get a taste of Mexican traditions through fun-filled activities aboard the Disney Magic. Here is a glimpse at some of the activities:
Churro For Sure-Oh
Children learn about one of the most famous Mexican desserts – the Churro! They can experiment with different toppings and enjoy their own creations!
Piñata Party
Children discover the history of this traditional Mexican pastime creating brightly-colored paper piñatas and stuffing them with an assortment of goodies. A special surprise awaits as children get to break their piñatas at the end of the program.
Mexican Fiesta
Children get a chance to learn the most celebrated dance in Mexico – El Jarabe Tapatío (known in English as the “Mexican Hat Dance”). The program also incorporates traditional Mexican toys such as El Balero, El Trompo and El Pirinola.

The Villa at Caletas in Puerto Vallarta
Waterfall and Hot Springs Tour
Ultimate Luxury Sail and Snorkel

Any idea if these are also offered on the Westbound Repositioning cruise? The waterfall/hot springs tour sounds intruiging.

Sounds like it from the wording here:
Disney Cruise Line ship’s return to the West Coast and a season of seven-night cruises to the Mexican Riviera.

The AND makes me think yes.

Haven't they already announced and you've booked your shore excursions for the repositioning? Or because they aren't going to 'normal' places, some Ports are left to a later time to be able to book/see all the options?

None of the excursions they offered really appealed to me, though we will be going a zip-line thing in one place and an ATV thing somewhere else (Jennifer knows all the details). If these new excursions are available for the Repositioning cruise, I'd be interested.

This is a private request excursion. This is part of the Disney Signature Excursion. There is no price listed for this excursion as it is based upon the villa that is assigned to you. My warning is that this would be a very expensive tour should it even be available. The return time for DCL to contact you is 7 days and there is a form that must be filled out prior to the tour being granted.

Not sure if I should've started a new thread for this, but the magician Justin Kredible is going to be entertaining on the June 1 or June 8 Mexican Riviera Cruise (not sure which, because his tour page says June 4-11, which I don't think exists).

Anyway, I saw him open for Jason Mraz last month and his show was pretty great. He's more of a fun Amazing Jonathan type magician than a serious David Copperfield type magician. He's definitely worth missing your evening workout for...and if you figure out how he does the bowling ball trick, don't tell me. :)

When you see a schedule like this, it generally means he is doing shows towards the end of the 6/1 sailing, and at the beginning of the 6/8 sailing

Are they still doing the Pirates of the Caribbean party or is Minnie's Fiesta replacing it?

And it was great!

(I had no Internets for the entire cruise. It was wonderful.)
