I purchased 3 day hoppers for my son and a friend thru AAA. Trip was set for next week. Long story short(too late??:)), they can't make it. I haven't called AAA yet-that's next on the agenda-but the hoppers expire 5/7/08. Does anyone have experience exchanging those tix to a hopper that expires later on in the year-say thru 01/01/09?

There's simply no way that any of us can make a trip within the month. Which is unfortunate-because this one also has the free refill drink bonus because it was purchased in January.

Before I called AAA, I just wanted any insight y'all could offer.

I have never exchanged tickets but it is definitely worth a call. I remember last time I bought tix through AAA the agent told me over the phone that if my plans changed they COULD be exchanged for a small ($5?) service fee. That was a couple of years ago but do try. Good Luck.

I believe that AAA's official policy is that tickets are non-refundable. They might make an exception for you in this situation. If they don't, you could always try selling the tix on E-Bay...

What has happened for us with other than AAA tickets was the value of the ticket was able to be applied to another ticket. This was thru WDTC.

Frustrated and sad right about now-AAA agent finally got back to me this morning. AFTER I called him again. Nope. Nada. Nothing they can do...so sorry, yada, yada, yada. Sorry-the sarcastic gene has taken over today:eek:.

In the past, I've gotten those "customer satisfaction surveys" when booking a package with AAA. Ooooh-I'd like to fill one out about now:mad:.

That's what I get for being a planner-. So, the entire package is listed on Ebay. Hope it makes someone's trip.

Thanks for the help all.

Jan....before you list (hopefully you see this before) call WDTC direct...AAA is just an agent, the tickets are actually WDTC...they are the ones that might be able to make the exception. I wouldn't give up because AAA can't do it..

This doesn't speak very well for AAA. I've always thought of them as a higher end vacation service provider, not some fly-by-night that won't work with people who need to change plans. I wonder if they realize that the next time somebody Googles "AAA" and "Disneyland", this comment thread will pop up in the results?

That said - try giving Disney a call. They might be willing to exchange your tickets toward tickets of "equal or greater value" that you can use later in the year. Good luck.

AAA did the same thing to me 2 years ago with Universal Studios tickets! I ended up calling Universal and they would not help me either! I am sure the Disney will do something for you though! Good luck and please post your outscome!

Good luck and please post your outscome!Disney will not refund them, but they will usually allow you to apply them to the cost of tickets when you take your trip. Check the back, if they say "WDTC", you will have the best chances.
