We'll be there (staying a PP) for a week in May, during which time I'd like to have some small belongings shipped via UPS to the hotel for me (from my brother). Does anyone know if the hotel will allow this? It's just one small box.

I don't think there will be a problem with shipping a small box, but I would make sure to send it two to three weeks before you go.
Why you ask? Because all the mail goes to one location (off property) and then it gets sent to the right place. It takes about a week or so to get to the hotel. A friend of mine sent us a Christmas package there thinking it would arrive in time and technically it did, but it went to the distribution place first. WE didn't get the box until a week or two AFTER Christmas and after we got back home.
I would call the hotel first though and ask what the procedure is. Make sure you put on the package what date you are arriving though.

Another note on the shipping, be sure it's addressed to the person that the resservation is under...not just someone 'in the room' ....they don't check anything but the reservation list. Found out that the hard way.

I also add "Guest - :name here:" after the hotel name. This way they aren't trying to figure out if it is an employee.
I would call the hotel and ask them how you can have it shipped to you and avoid it ending up in "Lost: The Mailroom". We ship things all the time to the Residence Inn and have never had a problem. They have even put the stuff in out room so it is there when we arrive.
