June or the end of July? I've been in June before (from beginning to middle) but never in July. We want to go this summer if we can get over the heat issue!! December is another option but it's so much more expensive!!

There will not be much difference between June or July. If you had a choice between June/July or December, I would try for the first two weeks of December.
Im not sure about December being much more expensive, though, unless you are talking about the time just before Christmas till right after New Years. Even it it was a little more expensive, with the crowds being lighter, you will get to see more within the same period of time.
December is a great time to go... would love to make another Winter trip myself.

I wish we could go during the first two weeks of December. That's the bad part about being a teacher; we can only go the last week of December (after Christmas) and stay until Jan. 3rd.
Thanks for your 2 cents!

I understand your dilemma. (GusMom was a teacher for a long time.) The only thing I can suggest is to see if there is time within the school year where you can squeeze in an extra long weekend or the like.

I'm a teacher too! Our family went the week before the MLK holiday of this year. We left afterschool on Monday and we were in the Magic Kingdom first thing Tuesday morning! I missed T, W, TH, and Friday was a workday, but it was worth it. We're already planning a return trip next year during the same time. There weren't any crowds until the weekend. The teacher down the hall always goes during the first 2 weeks of December. She leaves afterschool on a Monday and Tuesday so that she a few days in the parks before the weekend crowds.

That sounds so nice. We only get two personal days a year. We used to get a full week off in October which would have been a perfect time. We went in March this year during spring break but it was just too crowded.
