Does anyone know if the rooms at Movies have/will be renovated along the lines of Sports and Music? Seems like I read they were going to be redone, but can't find anything on it now.

All the pictures I have seen show the older style All-Star decor. I'm thinking of taking my dad to see the 4th of July fireworks next year, and would like to start our stay here. Is it a good choice for a 69 year old man and his daughter? I know most people recommend the All-Star Music for a more quiet resort, but I was just there last month and want to try something a little different. Thanks! 91wingnut 06-29-2008, 09:56 AM Just a thought............ If your Dad is 69, you must be around my age (43) which means you grew up in the 80's. I think it would be neat to stay at the Pop Century with your Dad so you can reminisce about the "good 'ol days" when you were but a wee tyke. When my parents went with my family we stayed there, and my Mom and Dad had a ball telling my kids how their Dad tried but failed to solve the Rubik's Cube, and how I rode a Big Wheel just like the giant one we saw. The best was describing to them what an eight track tape was. Give it a thought....It may be fun for you all:fez: maxiesmom 06-30-2008, 02:27 PM Just a thought............ Did you think they were? danyoung 07-01-2008, 08:05 AM They didn't seem that way to me. I like a firmer bed, but I didn't find the Pop bed to be overly firm. wishiwasthere 07-08-2008, 10:28 AM I stayed at Pop in November and I think they do need new mattresses. The springs were digging into my hip bones and they were very squeaky so all I heard was my sister tossing and turning. I like Pop a lot but I also like a good night's sleep. If they get new mattresses I will gladly stay there again. I know the rooms don't need to be refurbished to get new mattresses either because one time while staying at POR we got new mattresses in the middle of our stay. That was really nice! |
