Hello all,
I was wondering what you guys have been able to get as snacks with Disney Dining plan. I've heard Dole whips at MK has been included (is this true) -please let it be. I love those. Thanks for the info.

This post http://www.mousesavers.com/diningplantips.html#snack has a list - I just had a .pdf of the things you could get and where, but can't find it anywhere! I'll keep looking.

There is an unwritten guideline that almost anything under $4 can be included as a snack. My take on this is when in doubt, just ask beforehand. :)
I think our fave things to get are either Mickey Premium ice cream bars or the chocolate covered Mickey-krispie treats.

The one time I used the Dining Plan was 1 & 1/2 years ago, during the Food & Wine Festival. I saved up all my snack credits to use during the festival, when many of the food items at the booths were available as snacks. So I'd pay $3 or $4 for a glass of wine, and get a munchie for free. Those six credits made up a very nice meal for me!

When we went in September 2007 the Dole Whips were available as a snack...we got them 3 of the 8 days we were there!
The DIS has a 2008 snack list as well. Under "dining plan"-top of the page.
From what I've been reading there has been a slight change in the snack credits from last year when we went. The item must be under $4-as always-but now it needs to be a single serving as well. Last year I was able to get a half gallon of milk and a box of 8 donuts in the gift shop for one snack credit each. Now-only single serving milks and the snack packs of donuts. Definitely not as good a deal.
On the plus side-the bakery in France is now accepting snack credits for pastries in addition to sodas-yay!
Most items will have the dining plan logo next to them-but when in doubt-ask. Goofy's Candy Company in DTD was a wonderful place to use up snack credits.

We always run out of snack points first...because they are fun and yummy!
So, we have traded in our counter services for snacks. Sometimes a CM gets totally confused...then I feel bad.

How do you trade in counter service credits for snack credits? Is this a 2:1 ratio or 1:1. I'll be using the dining plan for the first time in September and am trying to learn as much as I can.
