Which restaurants do you recommend at Epcot? We're planning on doing counter service for our whole trip, but wanted to experience some yummy food at Epcot :) There are four adults, two 12-year old boys, and a 1-year old baby. We're pretty open to any of the countries' food. We'll be there the first week in June. Thanks for your help!!

In order to help us help you... tell us the kind of foods your family likes. Do they mind trying other things or being a little adventurous? Are they big eaters or do they like smaller to average servings? Is there any kind of food that they do not like?

I guess its like this... would they like to try foods from places that they never tried before? For many, Mexican, Italian and Chinese food is rather common, but what about French, Japanese, or Moroccan?

Personally, I have not found anything that I didnt like. However LeCellier at Canada (for steak) is awesome. Japan has some good eats as well. And while I love Mexico, Italian and Chinese food, we would rather get them elsewhere.

If you are going to be there the first week of June you had better figure which day(s) you will be at Epcot and make reservation NOW for almost anything you can get.

I would recommend Morocco and unusual enough but not really weird. I also like the buffet at Germany. (Note both of these have entertainment.) Then there is the Coral Reef, with good food and the wonderful views of the tank. Mexico's food is real Mexican and not Tex-Mex. Japan, UK and France have traditional foods.

If you cannot get a reservation, the Yakitori House in Japan and the Tangerine Cafe in Morocco are "fast food" but you will not see anything that resembles hamburger or fried chicken at either of them; actually they are meals.

For ambiance, the Mexican restaurant is fantastic: waterside (it's indoors, in case you didn't know), candle light -- so cool; sort of the Blue Bayou of the WDW resort.

For exotic quality, the Morrocan restaurant is great, with real dancing girls, my favorite part, and great music.

I also love Chefs de France; it's a must for us each visit. Plus, the food is not too fanciful like you might expect; it's soooo good!

Since you asked about counter service, I wanted to respond. My family's favorite place is Yakitori House in Japan, eating outside. It is secluded within the gardens and feels so removed from a theme park. We all like the beef and find it tasty and filling for a reasonable price. Our other favorite is the counter service in Mexico, the combination plate has more than enough food for a decent price, and the setting outside by the lake is relaxing. We have not eaten at the Land in many years, not since it has changed, but the food was okay, just ordinary, indoors in a food court.

We really, really enjoyed Les Chefs de France on our last visit. The ambience is really nice, service is fantastic, and the food is yummy!

On our recent trip we ate at Morocco and it was really good, and there was a band and a belly dancer as a bonus:p

I also agree that the San Angel Inn is worth a try, in Mexico. You can't usually see your food in there 'cos it's so dark, but it does taste good!

I misspoke. You mentioned in your post that you were planning on all counter service, but the title asked about sit down, which I overlooked when I posted. If you are going the first week of June you may already be limited by ADR availability. So, you better decide soon and call WDW dining ASAP.
If you can't get an ADR or are in Epcot for a second day, consider the country's counter services rather than the regular ones.

My favorites are in order: San Angel Inn, Chefs de France and Le Cellier
