We are planning out next trip to Disney World for next April or May. The last time we went my mom went with us so we just got two rooms at French Quarters and it was great. Some of the boys stayed with her and some with us. This time it will be just teh 7 of us. Disney said they could not promise us adjoining rooms so I'm not quite sure what to do. My husband and I don't really want to have to split up with some of us in one room and some in another so we are looking at teh other options of villas and such. Boy...those are expensive! One we have been thinking about is the cabin at Wilderness Lodge. It says it sleeps 6 but it looks like they'll add the 7th as long as he is little (he'll have just turned 1 when we go). Has anyone stayed there with a bunch of little ones? Ours will be 8, 7 year old twins, 4 and 1. Is it realistic to try that? My big concern is that I've heard it's quite a bit of walking to get to bus stops, stores, etc. Basically, I'm just looking for some input on what worked best for other parents. Thanks!

I moved your question to the WDW Resort forum as it will get better visability there.

You mentioned that you are looked into some of the available options, which are all good. At the same time, look into the Family Suites at the ASMu resort. It will not be as big but for a family of your size, and with the kids as young as they are, it should be ok, but maybe a little small.

There are Jr. Suites at the WL as well that can be considered in addition to the FW cabins and Villas at the DVC resorts.

One other thing is to look into renting points from a DVC member, which will let you stay at a DVC resort cheaper but there are a LOT of things to consider when doing that. DVC Mike posted a small primer (http://mousepad.mouseplanet.com/showthread.php?t=73364&highlight=renting+points) on renting points a while back which gives an overview to the process. I have done this myself before joining DVC and found it to be a good experience at a very good cost. Its just not for everyone.

Unfortunately, there is not one good solution for you - just some good options that vary in cost and features.
