Hey all, decided to push my sanity and go to the park June 14-21 during peak season!!!! I have 2 questions.

1. Our package came with a 5 day park hopper, we will be in ANA for 8 days 7 nights. Not counting arrival and departure days we will have 1 extra day. Can an extra day be purchased at DL for a discounted rate? For a few bucks the extra day might be worth it just to hop over for a few hours and not have to look with envy at the park across the street.

2. Our package with Costco and Disney Travel came with super shuttle from LAX, it was basically free with the trip. Thinking of just renting a car for freedom and convenience. How big of a hassle is the parking at the Best Western Park Place Inn? First time staying at this property. (HOJO with ample parking was not available through Costco travel and if the big pool is closed I'm willing to try another hotel.)

FYI here is the deal we got with Costco Travel. (2 adults, 1 child, airfare from PDX to LAX, 5 day park hopper bonus tickets, character bkfst, shuttle from LAX to hotel, 6 nights at BWPPI, early entry, commemorative coin, ticket holders etc. $2030 at an expected $4 gal for gas this is less than driving!)

THANKS!!

Your answer to question one is contingent on something you said in #2. If the back of the ticket is marked "WDTC", you can take the ticket to WDTC in DTD by Compass Books and upgrade it at a discount there. There is no discount at the gates for upgrades.

I haven't heard anyone gripe about parking at Park Place Inn.

I can answer for you, when you get to the parks, walk allllllllll the way thru Downtown Disney, hang a left at the bookstore and right around the corner is the WDTC office, you can purchase an extra day on that ticket there for about 20 bucks. I'm a costco member and we bought hoppers thru the costo package a couple years ago and had no problems doing the add on....they book thru WDTC....as for the parking at the hotel, I've stayed there once and wasn't impressed. I asked to leave my car til around 3 and they were not just rude about if it's not gone by noon we'll call and have it towed.

We stay at the BWPPI. Been there 3 years in row now. Parking is somewhat tight but we have never had a problem. We tend to walk everywhere once we are there but even when we drive somewhere we don't have a problem finding a spot. It's not always near our room though. I think it would be a bigger problem if you are arriving late.

On a side note-wherever you stay remove your Mickey antenna ball if you have one!

If you have a particular side triop you want to do I would just do a one day rental.

Thanks for the info. I will check Hertz to see where the nearest rental location is. It would be a shame to be in So.Cal and not go to Steak and Stein. FOOTBALL SIZE POTATOS!!

I concur. We rent from the Enterprise at the Anaheim Hilton. They pick you up. And it's cheaper to rent for one day if you only need it for one day. AND you don't have to deal with parking.
