What's the deal with the MousePlanet EMail Verification Code? I've seen probably a hundred different verification code systems in the past. The MP code is easily the worst. Half the time you can't read it. When you finally get a code you think you can read, it turns out you're wrong.

Both times that I sent in an email, it took me 15-20 tries to get through the verification process. Next time I'll probably think twice about bothering to send an email.

I understand the need to stop spam. But it's preventing legitimate emails from getting through. That seriously needs to be reworked.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with the CAPTCHA (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captcha) on MousePlanet's email forms. As you've noted, they are in place to reduce automated spambots (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spambot) from exploiting our mail forms. If the CAPTCHA image is unreadable, try clicking the "Refresh Image" link to load a different image. Alternatively, you can send mail to parkupdates@mouseplanet.com (for the weekly Park Updates), mailbag@mouseplanet.com (for the weekly MousePlanet Mailbag) or podcast@mouseplanet.com (for the MouseStation podcast).

Dave, can you let us know if the new CAPTCHA method Tony installed today is any better for you?

Hi AVP. Sorry it took me so long to respond.

I haven't tried to send an email yet. But I flipped through a couple of the CAPTCHA codes. They looked pretty easy to read. I could make out the words. Sometimes, with the line going through, it can be a little tough. But with one or two clicks on refresh I can find a good looking code.

Thanks for the help.

Dave
