Hi all,
You all have been so helpful in other posts, so I know I can fire away with this itty bitty question.
I was wondering where the little jungle cruise boats are in the Disneyland Hotel. How much do they cost and would a 3-4 year old have fun with them? When are they open? I am planning to meet my cousin at downtown disney in the next couple weeks and I wanted to maybe take the kidlets over to those boats.
Thanks!!!

Last time we were there my two-year-old and ten-year-old loved them, the 12-year-old not so much. They are behind the Captain Hook pool. You put your money in the slot and you get a few minutes piloting a boat. I don't remember the cost, but it wasn't much or at least didn't seem like much (a dollar maybe). But there are a few problems with this. Half of them didn't work so you put your money in and nothing. Yes, you can go and get your money back, but is it worth it to go track someone down and explain for a dollar? Then after dropping several dollars on broken ones do you explain that you kept trying? Then you need to be careful what boat you select because they are often bunched up with the boat you selected traped by a bunch of other boats and by the time you get it out your time is up. Then there is the fact that a four-year-old will keep asking to do it again. I think I dropped thrity or fourty dollars on those boats. So, while a dollar sounds cheap, it adds up.
I don't mean to sound too negative, the kids loved it. But, be prepared.

I agree. It's a pretty area, but I spent money on MY boat. Couldn't figure out which one was mine, then it was trapped. Fun for a little while, but have something else planned so you can get the kids away after a few minutes.

If I remember it costs $2.00 per token, or you can 4 for $5.00. like other posters have stated be careful choosing your boat because they do get stuck. here is a link to a pic of the area..

We've never actually had a boat that worked properly... either it didn't do anything at all, or it was completely impossible to maneuver - the steering is extremely frustrating (even for an adult!)

Or ten for $10 but you have to buy them at all at once. Nine times out of ten, the boats are screwed up.
